(the next day)

"y/n, someone's at the front door." hazuki said, preparing y/n's breakfast―egg and bacon.

y/n usually prepares her breakfast herself. she's actually the person who who secretly likes someone taking care of her. i mean, who doesn't?

"he's always early when it comes to fetching me," she said.
"you mean tsukishima-san?"
"yeah him."

she opened the front door, revealing tsukishima with headphones on. and of course, removed it as soon as he saw her.

"morning,"
"morning. come on in," y/n replied making tsukishima nod.

"you should atleast start eating breakfast early so we can go to school as soon as i arrive here," he said. "i'm getting used to entering your house already."

"it was your fault to begin with. you knew that i'm still having breakfast this time around." y/n said.

"sure," tsukishima giggled to himself. "but i actually prefer it this way."

"fighting so early in the morning. what's wrong with the both of you," hazuki raised an eyebrow, approaching the two.

"ryota-san?" tsukushima wondered. with this, he immediately looked at y/n. "you live with him now?"

"uh, nope. he just visited me yesterday and he'll stay here for a week," y/n replied.

"good morning, ryota-san." tsukishima sincerely bowed a bit, making hazuki flinch.
"oh good morning, tsukishima-san."

"i'll be back. let me prepare my things for a while. wait for me, kei." y/n excused herself to the both of them.

"its not like i have a choice, idiot." tsukishima sat at the sofa as he waited for y/n while hazuki continued preparing y/n's bento.

"so you are y/n's relative," tsukishima said, not taking his eyes off his phone.

hazuki smirked to himself. "you're pretty smart and it's pissing me off," he said, chuckling.

"why, thank you," tsukishima chuckled as well.

hazuki stopped what he was doing and approached him.
"alright then, a proper greeting. i'm ryota hazuki, y/n's cousin."

tsukishima nodded. "this shit is awkward," he replied, looking away.

hazuki laughed, making Tsukishima curse under his breath.
fuck, i acted all protective only to find out he's y/n's cousin, he thought.

"so you do have feelings for my her. i thought you don't like her?"

"i never said i don't," tsukishima said, slightly glaring at hazuki.

hazuki showed a small smile. "well after that i guess i don't mind if you ask y/n out," tsukishima's eyes widen for a while. he looked at his phone, trying to make hazuki think he doesn't care.

that's when tsukishima found himself smiling.

"you seem nice. sorry for the harsh attitude before," hazuki continued.

"i didn't really mind. i'd honestly act the same way if i were you," he replied.

"thanks, i guess." hazuki said.

after five minutes of awkward silence between them, hazuki decided to leave and continue with what he was doing.

but tsukishima suddenly called him.

"ryota-san," he called, making hazuki look back. "i think i already saw you before. here in miyagi."

"what do you mean?"

"you seem familiar."

"maybe you're mistaken,"

"no. i'm sure it was you."

hazuki scratched the back of his head when he heard the words escape tsukishima's mouth.

"so you were there when it happened, huh?"

tsukishima nodded.

"you were the person who saved y/n from getting hit by a car."
