a/n: hi, this'll be the last chapter!

"don't tell me we're lost," y/n worriedly glanced at tsukishima, her eyes stared at him in disbelief.

all were silent, and the only sound audible was the occasional barking of faraway dogs. tsukishima, who had remained silent, stepped forward and scanned the surroundings. "we're lost," he blurted out.

"i-i'll call hazu," she said, the muscles under her left eye twitching nervously as she spoke. y/n reached into her pocket, immediately making a phone call to her cousin. when she was about to do so, she froze.

she clenched the phone in her hand, locked the screen, and stared at the ground.

"what?" tsukishima asked, trying not to sound overly interested.
"his phone's not with him. he left it in Tokyo."

tsukishima turned to face y/n, his expression was a mixture of annoyance and surprise. y/n remained silent, thinking hard.

"what about your phone?" y/n asked while leaning towards tsukishima, smiling up at him suggestively.

"you think someone like me, who doesn't even talk to others in the first place—"
"oh shut up," y/n mumbled, pouting to herself.

tsukishima continued his stroll, thereby ducking any chance of interrogation and leaving y/n behind, offended. "hurry up or i'll leave you," he mocked.

y/n ran faster to catch up to him while she glared at tsukishima's back, annoyed with his behavior.

when y/n realized that she was already ahead of him, she stopped in her tracks, unsure of what to do next.
"hurry up or i'll leave you," she mimicked tsukishima, eyes still focused at the road in front of her.

"why aren't you responding?" y/n asked. her eyes twitched in annoyance when she realized tsukishima wasn't even trying to break the silence between them. "i fucking swear—"

she suddenly felt a pair of muscular arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. tsukishima placed his chin above her head, hugging her tightly. "i missed you... idiot," he muttered under his breath in such a soft and quiet voice.

y/n's face flushed which him (fortunately) didn't see. "i-i missed you too.." she replied, avoiding his gaze.

tsukishima let out a chuckle as soon as he heard her reply. he stood straight and faced the road. "so, where's the notebook?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he glanced at y/n's face.

"at home. i'll give it to you later," y/n responded, showing him a small smile.
"sure. i'll give mine too."

they walked quietly.

the stars in the sky shined as if tsukishima and y/n were the only ones around—once again. the pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky, while night sky itself, aglow with bright city lights. the leaves from the trees drifted lazily in the gentle breeze, it was peaceful.

despite the cold air, there was this certain warmth between them. and even though it was silent, it wasn't awkward. it wasn't awkward even a tiny bit.

"i immediately feel a sense of deja vu," tsukishima mumbled, making eye contact with y/n.

he looked down, glancing at y/n's hand as if he was asking for permission to let him hold her hand. y/n smiled and nodded her head.

"you're oddly confident today," she remarked while giggling, making tsukishima scowl at her in annoyance.
"i can literally fucking leave you alone right now." he replied with a sly smirk visible on his lips which y/n looked away in return.

"remember when i first held your hand?" tsukishima blurted out, catching y/n off guard. since she was trying her best not to embarrass herself, she only managed to nod in response.

tsukishima gently held y/n's hand tighter. y/n looked at his face and gave him a concerned look.

he took a deep breath and looked at y/n's eyes, preparing himself to say something he wanted to tell her for so long. "i know this may sound cheesy so go ahead and tease me," he said. "but i ought to tell you that with you, i realized how indispensable.. no, absolutely necessary it is to have someone by your side."

y/n's eyes softened, smiling at him to make him feel that he was free to say whatever he had to say.

"don't give me that annoying look. i'm well aware that words fail me, dumbass." tsukishima rolled his eyes, muttering the last part. y/n laughed in response, unaware that she's holding his hand tighter.

"being with you feels so right," he added.

tsukishima lifted his head and looked at the stars in the sky. on the other hand, y/n stared at him and remained still, observing every little thing that tsukki does.

"my fucking heart is beating so fast," y/n accidentally blurted out loud.

she immediately avoided his gaze, embarrassed with what she just said. "shit." y/n mumbled under her breath.

tsukishima glanced at her, trying his best not to laugh. he placed his headphones around y/n's nape.

"w-what are you doing?
"i have no idea myself." tsukishima replied, making y/n laugh out loud which luckily broke the awkward state they were in.

"i thought you hated me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"yes, but actually no,"

tsukishima genuinely smiled as he leaned closer, and she slowly lifted her head to face him, only to be greeted by his golden-brown eyes, who was deeply staring at hers, cupping her face as gentle as he could.

"can i kiss you?"

y/n nodded while tsukishima chuckled before leaning in for a kiss. he kissed her the way she wanted to be kissed, his soft and moist lips were hot and breathy, seeking closeness. the kiss was short, yet passionate.

"y/n, i love you."

"it has never been enough expressing it through words but i really do," he added.

tsukishima cleared his throat, fixed his posture, and smiled to himself.

"you undoubtedly stole my heart, but i'll let you keep it. so,"

he glanced at y/n with a sly smirk visible on his lips.

"can i have yours too?"
