after receiving yamaguchi's reply, y/n prepared her clothes, took a warm bath, and fixed her messy hair that she barely brushes.

she ended up wearing dark blue jeans, black blouse as her top, and white shoes which her brother gave her as a present last year.

y/n wore something simple. there's no doubt that she wanted to look good in front of him, but she was also aware that tsukki would only want her to be comfortable with whatever she wants to wear.

10:30 AM

she rushed herself to their meeting place while constantly checking the time since she dislikes the thought of being late.

as she got closer, she saw two familiar tall males standing on a sidewalk. assuming it was tsukishima and yamaguchi, she decided to approach them.

"hey," she greeted them, panting due to running.
"you're late, idiot." tsukishima flicked y/n's forehead.

"just admit you're too excited for today," y/n rolled her eyes, slightly laughing.

"good morning, y/n!" yamaguchi greeted, smiling warmly at her.

"good morning!" she smiled back.

scanning their looks, yamaguchi was wearing a white long sleeve polo, a light brown casual pants, along with his light grey sneakers.

tsukishima on the other hand, was wearing a white shirt longer than his denim jacket, a dark colored classy pants of narrow ankle, and high ankled boots.

y/n smiled, thinking they both looked really nice.

"you dress so well tadashi-kun, did you know that?" y/n complimented him, making yamaguchi slightly blush.

"t-thank you.. you too, y/n!" yamaguchi replied.

"sometimes i wonder if the both of you are really the main characters here,"

"WE ALL KNOW DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER ROMANTICALLY WTF," she retorted at tsukki.

"moving on, you look pretty, y/n." tsukishima said as he observed how y/n looks.

"w-what..not really.." she mumbled.
"i never lie," he whispered to y/n's ears, making her a blushing mess which she tried to hide, but failed.

"so y/n, what are we gonna do for today?" yamaguchi asked, making both tsukishima and y/n flinch.

"we can watch a movie of your choice and eat in a restaurant. my treat of course!" y/n replied.

"kei and i will do something after this so we'll probably be done around four in the afternoon." she added.

yamaguchi was about to say something when tsukishima spoke up.
"what are we gonna do later?" Tsukki asked.

"study. i told you yesterday that we'll do it today, right?" y/n replied.

"ah, right." tsukishima replied.

"isn't it tsukki's birthday tomorrow? studying the day before his birthday is... kind of boring..." yamaguchi mumbled.

"yeah it is, but i'll do whatever kei had planned for us beforehand," y/n replied, leading the way to the bus stop.

tsukishima and yamaguchi were behind her, talking to each other without y/n hearing their conversation.

"are you okay with that, tsukki?" yamaguchi asked.
"with what?" tsukishima replied.

"i mean, it's your birthday tomorrow and uh—maybe..you want to... to spend time with her in a different way?" yamaguchi said, making tsukishima look at him.

"maybe," he said.

"she surprised me on my birthday last year so maybe she prepared something for you too." yamaguchi remarked.

"i'm still not keeping my hopes up," tsukki replied as he stared at y/n who was looking at her phone. "just her being there is more than enough."
