"i'm home, hazu." y/n stated, opening the front door revealing his cousin sitting on the sofa.

"hey, y/n," Hazuki mumbled. "oh, tsukishima-san you're here,"

"good evening," tsukishima nodded. "also, don't mind you calling me just tsukishima."

"sure. call me ryota then, we share the same age anyways," hazuki retorted, making tsukishima nod.

"y/n, go take a quick shower and then we'll talk about it. i'll wait here," hazuki said.
"yeah, okay. i'll be back!"

with that, y/n left the both of them, running fast to head upstairs.
hazuki took his phone out of his pocket while tsukishima sat down in the sofa, the spot far from where hazuki was sitting.

"take care of y/n," hazuki who was focused on his phone, said. he continued scrolling, not bothering to take a look at tsukki.

"oh please, we both know i'd do the opposite. i'd rather not," tsukishima replied, also busy in his phone.

"i take that as a yes," hazuki chuckled.

"you're like her dad or something," tsukki said, "no, wait. you act more like a brother, i guess."

"not a boyfriend?" hazuki joked, laughing. tsukishima sighed softly, rolling his eyes, before he looked at hazuki.

"no. that's my job," he bluntly said, making hazuki chuckle silently.

"yeah you're right, that's your job."

"okay, i'm done taking a shower!" y/n exclaimed as she rushed downstairs only to be greeted by the stares of tsukishima and hazuki.

"the fuck is wrong? what's with all the stares?"

"you look like a mess," tsukishima and hazuki teasingly said at the same time.

"sorry to burst your bubble but i look fresh everytime i take a bath." y/n proudly said. "it's just, i haven't combed my hair yet," y/n continued, rolling her eyes.

"i was kidding, sorry,"
"i don't care. you're still a mess, idiot."

"SHUT UP. oh wait, let's talk about what will happen tonight," y/n said.

hazuki nodded in response, "my dad needs help in our business so i have to help," he said. "plus, my entrance examination for med school is around the corner, probably next week. good thing i didn't waste my time staying here."

"i totally forgot you chose medicine, but that's really cool so good luck!"

"thanks, y/n. i'll miss ya."

"do well, ryota."
"thank you, tsukishima. oh by the way, can i have your number?"

"why?"
"y/n talks more than she usually does when it's you, so i'll text you sometime just to check on her when she doesn't reply," y/n's cheeks flushed. she sighed in relief that neither of the two noticed.

stupid hazu. giving mf clues, she thought.

"yeah sure, update me about the results of the exams too, soon." tsukishima replied, handling hazuki his phone.

"since when were you two friends?" y/n teasingly said, both of them rolled their eyes at her.

"i wish i could've stayed longer," hazuki said, sighing.
"see the both of you again whenever." he waved goodbye as he entered the train's door.

y/n and tsukishima waved both of their hands at hazuki, clearly saying goodbye. "take care, hazu!!"

"you too, bye bye!!"

with that, the train started to move, leaving y/n with a sad smile. tsukishima noticed this so he thought of starting a topic.

"he's literally your parent."

"yeah maybe. i believe i told you this already but both my parents work in another city. they visit me every month and i'm glad about it actually," y/n replied.

"mhm," tsukishima hummed. "i know."

"right now, are you perhaps... sad?" tsukishima asked, concerned. he shot y/n a look.

"kind of, but i have to enjoy this week as much as possible so i'm brushing it off for now," y/n replied, smiling warmly at him, leaving tsukishima bewildered.

"what are you talking about?"
