"You have to get married as soon as possible, you are 24 and you've never introduced any guy to me except from Cole". Nina chants her mantra like it is going to change anything if she says it daily.

I don't know what's wrong with this woman she keeps telling me to get married. Does she not understand that I don't have time for a relationship now? She is a fuckin control freak who thinks she is in charge of my life.

"Okay Mom. I will put my name and face on a poster then advertise myself telling people I'm in need of a husband." I'm pretty sure she will consider that decision. Anything to get rid of Lila.

I gave her a fake smile after saying this.

I adjusted the strap of my bag and hail at a cab to get me to work. A cab stops and I walk into it smiling at the driver.

"Ruixesse street please." I say to the driver smiling politely at him.

Grey &Co is my dad's company and I went through every normal process to get a job here. I was interviewed by the manager because my dad couldn't interview his own daughter because people would have thought he was bias. Even though I got the job of a secretary,it was so hard with the piling of papers,getting coffee for everyone in the building evety morning and the worst of em' all,I got to see Nina's face everyday. After 2 years of hard work I got the post of Managing Director and I'm happy that I got the job because I worked for it not because my Dad gave me the post because I am his daughter and let's just say there's been great progress ever since I joined Grey &Co even though my Dad doesn't say it I know he is proud of me but he never says it and I will really love if he ever said it to me because it will mean so much to me. I have gotten anything more than greetings from him in the last 5 years. After he married Nina he ignored me like the wart on Patrick Star sister's back.

"We're here." The man calls my attention to let me know we are at dad's place.

"Thanks Sir. "I smiled as I stretched $50 at the man.

"Your change will be...." I cut the man short before he complete his statement.

"Keep the change Sir. "

He coughs in response to my statement.

"Thanks young lady. "

"You are welcome sir."

I walked into Grey&Co tugging on my bag as I counted my breath. I opened the door and waved at the security guard.

"Good morning Mrs Summers."

I greet the receptionist who was arranging the lilies on her table.
She is an old nice woman who understands me. She has been a mother figure since mine left this world.

"Morning Lila darling. You look beautiful today."

"Thanks Mrs Summers".

I walk into the elevator and punch in my floor number. I stare at the golden walls in the elevator wondering why I'm feeling extra happy today. It makes me wonder in the back of my mind  if I'm going to pay for being this happy.
The elevator door opens and I walk into my office.

"Managing Director "is written bold on the top of the room. I couldn't help but smile.
I walk into my office and seat down. I'm about to start my work when my phone rings. I debated if to pick it or not but I decided to pick it as I saw Cole's name flashing on top of my screen.

"Hey Mami. " Cole screams from the other end.

"Morning Cole. How was your night?" I asked knowing fully well he spent the night with his girlfriend;Alissa.

"It was great. I don't need to ask about yours. Anyways I have good and bad news". He says.

And I couldn't help but gulp very hard at the sound of bad news.  Remember when I said I was going to pay for being to happy yeah I think the time is now.

"What is it?....." I asked him anxiously chewing on my nails.

"What do you want to hear first?" He asks worriedly.

"I think bad news first. " I said wishing time froze as I said so.

1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.8.5. I counted the seconds in my mind before Cole spoke.

"Well Alexander  is back and Dad wants him to take over Black Men Corporations here in New York."

Black Men Corporations is a technological innovation company. They create every technological equipment ,you name it. Blender,electric whisk,phones,television and so many other equipmets. You could check your technological equipment right now you will see BMC written by the side.

I gulped when I heard Alex's name........

Cole continues "...he told Dad he doesn't want to stay at California for an unknown reason so he told Dad he wants Dad he wants to stay at New York.
So in other words Brittany is back. "

FML.

"Cole how are you coping?"

"Ohh I'm fine. Her boobs look bigger though and she looks more plastiquey if that's even a word. I don't even know what guys see in her. "I gasped dramatically.

He might have exaggerated in that last part. Brittany looks like every man's wet dream that sounded like she is a porn star but she looks like a man's dream.
Ok that sounds better.
She looks gentle;yet untameable. Her beauty is like that of the wind;relaxing but fierce. She looked like she was created  to make the world oppressed.

"Cole you dated her for a year ."

"It was actually a year, 4 monthsand 6 and a half days Yes I did cause I thought she would be like you since she is your sister. "

Yh Brittany is my stupid and bitchy ass sister.

A message comes from my intercom saying my Dad wants to see me.

"Hey Cole I will talk to you later." I told him .

"I didn't even tell you the good news yet." He complained.

"Bye Cole." I told him disconnecting the call.

I stand up and straighten my skirt. I play with my fingers as I go to my dad's floor. I  knock at his door and sighed heavily before hearing  his response.

"Come in Miss Grey."
