Kirsten's POV
I arranged and rearranged the stationary on my desk, my foot drumming against the floor as my leg bounced impatiently, my eyes fixated on the door, He has to show up today, its been three days, what in the world happened to him?
My fingers are wrapped around my phone, as I switch the screen on, then off, pause a moment, on and then off.
No text backs, no calls, and he isn't even in class, how embarrassed does one have to vanish off the surface of the earth for being drunk?Mr. Cyr was as always drowning on and on about things that didn't concern me, suddenly the class fell silent along with Mr.Cyr as he pointedly asked me "Am I boring you, Bravermen?"
All eyes fell on me and it felt middle school all over again where I was the girl with 'cap hair' which I near constantly fiddled with. Out of habit, my fingers were currently entwined between the unruly strands of my hair.
I stared back at him blankly, so with a stern look, he went back to teaching.
My thoughts again drifted to where Novak was, Why he wasn't here, why was he avoiding me. Should I not have mentioned about the night? What in the world did I do? I didn't try to kiss his adorable smile, did I?
I spent the entirety of the morning obsessing over why Novak wasn't around. Its been three long days, a girl can only have so much patience.

I sat down in the cafeteria, my eyes wandering around, scanning the tables as I looked for him, realising he wasn't here, my eyes were set on the door, waiting for Natalie and Fred, hoping that they would take my mind off him.
Fred and Talia bounded in bickering,
"I said do not call me Ruthy, you know I hate him" Fred argued."Don't get soo sentimental Ruthyyy" she jeered, dragging the Y.
"First of all its Ruth and secondly, what have you got ?"
"Can we not have the last name fight all over again, please?" I interjected
"Easy for you to say when you quite literally own the town"
"For the last time Natalie, It's not owner, its founder family"
We had the same discussion every couple of weeks, Fred was half German, hence the last name Ruth.
Natalie was biracial, hence theBoth of them had daddy issues, and hated their last names with every fibre of their being, yet put in all effort to drive each other up the wall over it, They truly did have a weird dynamic.
"Guys, Have you seen Novak?" I interrupted once again.
"Isn't the project submission date up?" Fred asked with a hint of sternness in his voice.
Talia looked at me and then at Fred.
She repeated the motion.Oh.
Fred isn't aware of Novak's drunken speil, mainly because he might have plundered a few of the rose bushes on freds lawn.
"I saw that look, what are you girls hiding? Spill" Fred smirked.
"Uh.. nothing" Talia tried covering up.
"Its okay Tal, he should know," I said.
"Soooooo, those precious rose bushes were uprooted by a drunk yet adorable asshat" I continued."How whipped are you, mate?" Talia laughed.
"Hold on, let me get this straight, Novak is the reason why I had to hear my mom yell for twenty-two minutes straight? How do you know this Kirsten? Did you participate as well?"
Fred questioned Further.
