Dream's POV

"The apocolypse?" Sapnap asked.

"Project Dare?" George added.

A6d covered his mouth, looking at Jeb in complete horror. "Project Dare...that's the project Skeppy's been working on for seven years now."

My eyes shot open, a dawn of realization crashing over me. "The news clippings, they were pointing out the apocolypse!"

George's feet wobbled and teetered, I immediately wrapped him safely in my arms. He looked up to me, his face turning pale. "This is really the final battle, isn't it?"

I nodded gravely. "Yes. I don't know what that project even is or what it does. All I know is that it's not good."

"Will we even win? Even if we do, will we still be complete?" George asked, his eyes reflecting how distressed and distraught he is.

My stomach coiled and twisted at George's words. I looked at the seemingly blank sky, disturbed and uncertain.

Yeah, will we survive and still be complete?

I planted a forlorn kiss onto his forehead, brushing his cheeks with my fingertips. "I don't know, George. I don't know."

It's not like I can just peek into my future just because I have powers. First, I don't even know how to. Second, there is no future if there is no present. Everything is not set in stone.

"Dream! Dream!" A familiar raspy voice called out to me in the dark. A voice that I've been missing for quite a while now.

"Sergio!" I called back, my voice echoing. He flew vigorously towards me, his multicolored feathered body visible even from the shadows.

He landed on top of my shoulder, nuzzling his soft head against my neck. "The time I've been dreading has come. Where one decision can impact the whole world and everybody's lives." He whimpered. "I've seen them do it more than a thousand times. I've seen you die over and over again."

I gasped, hearing this. "H-How old are you, Sergio?"

"I've lost count."

Sapnap opened his mouth, appalled and bewildered. "What are you?"

"A parrot, duh." He replied, the sass still there.

"I know that, bucko. Are you immortal?" Sapnap asked.

"Yeah, you could say that." Sergio replied casually, his voice chill like it's nothing special.

"How is that possible?" I asked, stupefied.

I knew there was something special about him when I first met him. He speaks very differently from normal parrots. He acted like he knew me for a long time. He was self-aware about everything ever since the beginning.

"I am his creation. Your creation. Their creation." He said.

I nodded, finally understanding. I guess when everything and everyone falls apart, Sergio will still be alive. It makes me 1% less anxious.

Just then, two figures in the dark bounded towards us. Two figures that you really can't forget. A dynamic duo.

"Have you seen Sergio!?" Dom asked, panicking. When both of them reached us, he briskly stopped. "Oh. There he is."

"Oh my goodness. Sergio, you gave us a heart attack." Fannie leaned against Dom's shoulder, panting for air.

"Why? What happened?" I asked.

"Everything was just so calm at our cottage and then he suddenly threw a tantrum, yelling out gibberish." Dom explained.

"He said words like 'the end', 'apocolypse', 'dread', 'death', 'time' and more weird stuff that really confused us." He added.
