The next morning we were all bored and couldn't think of anything to do, so we decided to play truth or dare. Unfortunately, I was the first to fall in the trap. "Maddie, truth of dare?" asked Josh. "Dare." I responded. "Sing something." He challenged. I had no idea what to sing or how to sing in general so I just kind of froze. "I'll sing with you if you want." He added.
"You know The Cup Song, right?"
"Yeah."
"Go get that cup and play for me."
He looked at me puzzled and got the cup. Once he started playing I joined in singing. I probably blushed the whole time. "You're a good singer." He said after I finished. "Don't lie." I said with a laugh. "No, you are." He replied then smiled. Why did he have to be so cute?I hate the fact that the only person that is separating Josh and myself is Chloe. There will be little to no getting rid of Chloe. If I wanted to even attempt to go head to head with the devil taken human form, I would have to get some help. I could go to where Chloe gets her help, hiring the bad students to do her dirty work, but I'm not like that. I would have to get help from Paige.
"Hey Paige?" I asked after we are breakfast. "Yeah Mads?" She replied.
"Why were you upset Friday?"
"Honestly, Chloe was just getting on my nerves."
"I have an idea..."
"What?"
"We put a stop to her evil for good."
"How so?"
I thought up a plan in my head that probably wouldn't work anyway. "We could catch her breaking the rules at school and turn her in." I suggested.
"It's worth a try, but usually that just gets her street crud." Paige answered. We each smirked at each other.Josh walked into the room angrily. "Did you listen to all of that?" Paige said worrily. "Partially." He responded as he fully revealed himself from behind the door. He stood there for a minute while Paige and I exchanged nervous glances. When he finally walked across the hallway to his bedroom Paige says "I guess we have to get a better game plan."
