My shiny heels clicked against the floor as I walked down the steps of my home. "You look gorgeous Maddie." My mother said. "Thanks mom." I replied and gave her a hug. I was wearing a black skater dress, thin tights, and a grey scarf. My mother had let me borrow her favorite heels to wear as well. I wore my hair in waves that took me forever to get perfect. Tonight was supposed be an amazing night. I had picked this cute little restaurant downtown and the reservations were already made.

As my ride appeared at the top of my driveway I expected that Josh would get out of the car, but he didn't. Josh usually acted like a gentleman. It was different for him to not acknowledge me. I stopped for a second to see if he would get out, but he never did. I became less patient and just got into the passenger seat of the car and said "Hey Josh." That's when I realized that Josh wasn't in the car.

I tried opening the door, but it was locked shut. I started to yell for help, but the person sitting next to me covered my mouth. It was a boy I didn't recognize. Half of his face was covered by a mask and his eyes were sharp. I looked out the window hopelessly into our small little town. "Feel strange?" The boy asked. "No." I said because I honestly didn't feel that strange, but I should've felt that way. I was being kidnapped by someone I didn't even know. He was right, I should feel strange. The boy chuckled and looked at me. His expression soon dropped. "You should be scared." He stated. "I'm not." I replied.
"You're difficult."
"You're rude."
He just sighed and said "I know." After a few minutes of silence he slowed the car down.

We stopped at a snow-covered playground that I recognized. I thought it might be the one down the road from the Hyland's. It was too dark to tell though. I prayed that it would be. The boy pulled out a large object from the car and had me step out. I soon felt a painful throb in my head, then everything was black. Almost as if I had been blinded, but not of sight. More as if I was blinded of what was really happening.
