"You like me?" I asked him. "Yes, I always have." He replied. I guess I should be happy everything's falling in place. Now I can actually sleep through the night. He interlocked my hand with his. "Do you like me?" He asked. "...Yeah." I replied. Within a second of me saying that he asked "Would you do me the honors of going on a date with you?" I laughed and said "Yes."
Paige came walking in afterwards. "What's going on here?" She asked with a smirk. "Oh umm here Paige I need to show you this new mascara I've been using!" I replied dragging her upstairs.
"Okay so maybe Josh does like me." I told Paige. "That's great Mads!" Paige squealed. "He's probably just using me to get back at Chloe though."
"That's doubtful."
"I don't know, I'm just not one of those girls..."
"Maddie, you're amazing. Anyone who doesn't see that has a problem. You are a much better friend than Chloe ever was."
I hugged Paige and told her "You're my best friend."
After an hour or so of being at the Hyland's, I walked outside and waited for my mom to pick me up. There were sheets of ice everywhere. I started hearing footsteps on the ice, so I turned around to check. I slipped and probably would've hurt myself if it weren't for Josh standing there to catch me. Why was he following me? "What are you doing?" I asked. "Saving you." He said and chuckled. I blushed because I was honestly very embarrassed. "Why were you out here?" I asked. "No reason." He responded cautiously. "But, I would like to know if we could go on our date tomorrow night?" He added. "Sure. Does 7:00 work?" I replied.
"Of course." He smiled.
