I walk into school Monday to see Chloe holding hands with Gino. I quickly took a picture not realizing that Josh was right behind me. He walked up to Chloe angrily. When she realized he was there she let go of Gino's hand.
"Oh hey Josh! What's up?" She said worrily draping her hang over his shoulder. "What was that?" Josh yelled. "It's really nothing, honey." She replied.
"Sure looked like something to me!"
"Calm down, Josh." She rolled her eyes.
"You know what?"
"What?
"We're over."
"Fine then." Chloe crossed her arms and walked away. Jake was watching the argument a few feet away. Chloe tugged the collar of Jake's shirt and pulled him in for a kiss then continued strutting off. Josh just stood their in shock. Jake was his best friend and Chloe was his girlfriend, well now ex girlfriend.
I walked over to him to ask him if he was okay, but instead he pulled me into a kiss. I pulled away and asked "What are you doing?" He whispered "Sorry." I stormed away into the girl's bathroom and locked myself in a stall so I could cry without being seen. How could he use me like that? What kind of person does that? I guess he'll just have to face the consequences.
At lunch he desperately tried to apologize, but I ignored him. When Paige found out she hugged me and we sat at a table far away from him. "I'm so sorry about my brother. You can come over after school if you want and I'll tell him to leave you alone." She suggested. "That's fine I guess." I responded.
After school, I walked with Paige and Josh to their house. "Please, I can explain." Josh pleaded. "Save it, Hyland." I replied. When we got there Paige had to use the restroom leaving Josh and I alone.
Josh immediately cornered me. "I broke up with Chloe for you. I know it looked like I was just trying to get revenge on her, but that wasn't why I kissed you." He stated. Let me think about that. Did that really just happen?
