Adrien's POV

I saw Ladybug fall before I could even react. "Ladybug! No!" I grabbed the akuma's shoulders. "What did you do?!"

She chuckled. "I did you a favor." I ran over to her.

"Ladybug? M'lady? LB? Are you okay?" I held her head in my arms. Her eyes fluttered open. She shrieked and stumbled back.

"C-cat No-oir!?" She blushed furiously and held her face in her hands. "I-I uh I ahh." I stood up and pointed my staff at HeartBreak. "You are going to tell me what you did to her, or you're going to learn what I use this staff for."

"Wow, geeze. That's dark. I made her fall in love with you. It's not my fault it made her stupid. Anyway, enjoy your returned feelings Cat Noir. I have a girl's day to ruin," And for the thousanth time it seemed, she got away. I groaned.

"Come on M'lady. We should track her down before she causes to much damage." I reached out my hand for her's. She blushed and stammered some more before clasping my hand. I pulled her up and she let go while flailing wildly. Wow. That's really cute. It's not fair the boy she likes gets to see her this soft and vunerable.  I smacked myelf. Focus! She doesn't even like you this way, so it shouldn't matter! That one snapped me out of it. "Let's go." I winked. Her face turned a deep scarlet. I could watch her blush all day.

We set off back to the mayor's office. HeartBreak moved fast. Chloe had already been placed in front of the office for the whole world to see. She was hit with blue beam after beam. Tears were streaming down her face as she sobbed loudly.

"Who's the crybaby now, Chloe?!" Something broke inside me. Chloe wasn't a nice person, but it wasn't entirely her fault. She had a lot of stuff to deal with and was trying to be better. She was still my oldest friend.

"Hey HeartBreak! I hate to break it to you, but you're going down!" Ladybug laughed loudly next to me. I wanted to bottle up that laugh and drink it in small sips for the rest of time.

"Cat Noir, soon you'll see this fighting was all in vein." She stopped shooting at Chloe to walk over to us. On instinct I tried to protect Ladybug with my arm. "Aw. Look at the little kitty protecting his lady." Almost as if she teleported, she apeared by my side. "How does it feel?" She whispered. "She finally loves you back." She slunk behind me. "She's completely forgotten about the other boy." My veins turned to ice.

"How did you know about that?" I growled. My body spun to face her.

Her response was a giggle. "I didn't, at least until you told me." I hit my forehead with my palm. Seriously? Come on Cat! Get your head in the game. I guess I was to distracted by the all the attention from Ladybug.

"This isn't Ladybug. She doesn't really feel this way about me. It wouldn't be love to force her to feel this way."

She clapped her hands. "That's the best part. I can't make anyone feel anything they don't already feel."

"What?"

"Yup." She turned my face towards Chloe. "That girl's got a lot of stuff inside. I didn't even know she felt emotions, but boy was I wrong. It took a couple shoots, but she's bawling like a baby now."

"I-I'm sorry!" Chloe wailed in the distance.

"She buried her guilt way down, that's why it took a few hits to have an effect. But, she has a lot of guilt, so i don't really need to do much."

"Then why did you keep hitting her?"

She shrugged. "Because she deserved it. Anyway, if Ladybug didn't love you, my magic wouldn't have an effect on her. My whole thing is useing someone's emotions against them. I can only amplify pre-existing emotions."
