What Do You Want From Me?

Marinette's POV

"What the heck happened after I got hit Tikki?"

"I don't know Marinette. Your mind is just as fuzzy as mine. " As I was swinging home, I'd been hit by some fuzzy memories. Sometimes I was blushing and stammering. In others I was giggling. I think I even threatened to kill someone at some point. I don't really remember what happened after that. I don't know what she did to me. Was it like Reverser where she just made me akward? But I remember Reverser. This is so weird. I went up to my balconey to get some fresh air and sort this out. 

The sky was turning dark, and I could begin to see the stars. I took some deep breaths. It didn't really matter what happened. I mean, how much damage could I do?

"Hey Marinette." A voice came from behind me. I jumped in shock. I turned to see Cat Noir. Oh My gosh! What did I do!?!?

"Gosh Cat Noir! Give me a heart attack why don't you?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Should I leave?" He looked like he was on the verge of tears. 

"No, no. Sorry I was just teasing. You're always welcome." He smiled and took a seat on my railing. "So, Cat Noir. What brings you by?"

"First, you have to promise not to laugh."

I placed a hand on my chest. "I promise."

"Okay. I'm having girl problems with Ladybug." What the heck did I do?! I am going to die!!!!

"Oh really? What happened after she saw the date you prepared after your fight with Glaciator?"

"She told me she liked someone else. That broke my heart, but I was just going to bear it and move on."

"Oh, Cat Noir," I said as I rubbed his arm. "I'm so sorry." I really am Kitten.

"But then, she got taken by HeartBreak, and that scared me beyond belief. Once I got her back, I was just so relieved, that I told her I loved her again. I think that made her uncomfortable because she called me a friend and left." I nodded, urging him to go on. "So after that I decided to leave her alone. I was going to stop with the flirtatious nicknames and just be friends." No! My mind screamed.

"So, what changed?"

"Well," He started, placing his chin on his hand. "HeartBreak hit her with a beam of light that made her fall in love with me."

"What!?!" I yelled.

"I know! And if that wasn't confusing enough, HeartBreak said that she can't make some emotion appear out of thin air. They have to already feel that emotion. So Ladybug had to have some love for it to work."

"What?!?" Well, there it is. Undeniable proof that I am in love with Cat Noir. 

"I know right?! And so now I'm just really confused and hurt. Because even though she loves me, she chose someone else."

"I'm so sorry Cat Noir." Look at what you did! Now he's sad! Are you happy now?

"I mean, she could have been lying. That would have made more sense. Ladybug would have never fallen for me."

"Don't say that Cat Noir! I'm sure she loves you!" Very sure.

"And what's even worse is that she kissed me." I  did WHATNOW? " Now it feels like the universe is just seeing how much it can hurt me."

"Wait, she kissed you?!"

"Yeah, twice, but it was under the control of the magic. She never would've kissed me otherwise." I beg to differ.

"I don't think Heartbreak was lying, and I think Ladybug does love you."

"I just feel so toyed with and used. She says I'm a friend, but then turns around and says she loves me." 

"Do you have patrol with her soon?"

"Yeah. Tomorrow night. Why?"

"Tell her how you feel. Tell her that you feel used."

"What then?"

"Tell her what happened with HeartBreak and why you're so confused. Then you can sort through your feelings and feel better."

"Thanks Marinette." He hopped off the railing and wrapped me in a hug. "I hope everything works out with the boy you like."

I looked at his beautiful green eyes. "Me too. Good luck with Ladybug. I'm sure it'll turn out better than you think." Cat Noir smiled at me, and lept off into the night.

Tikki flew out of my room. "What was that Marinette?"

"Oh nothing." But in my heart, I knew it was something big.
