Adrien POV
I woke up to sunlight streaming through my window. After last night, I felt drunk on her voice. It was just so magical that now, going to school like normal felt off. It was like learning that I was a wizard, but instead of going to magic school, I went to algebra.
"So kid, what's the plan for today?"
"Well, I just texted Marinette, and I'm going to meet up with her before school starts so we can walk together." I ran down the stairs, but before I left the house, I heard my father call out to me.
"Adrien." I froze in fear. Did he return to his cold, aloof self?
I turned to him. "Yes Father?"
"Don't you want breakfast?" He held up my plate, and I sighed in relief.
"No, I'm eating with a friend."
"Oh." He put down my plate, looking dejected. I think I hurt his feelings.
"But, I'll be back for dinner." He instantly perked up.
"Of course. I look forward to it." I nodded. "Do you need a ride?"
"It's a nice day out. I think I'll walk."
"Okay. Have a great day Adrien."
"You too Father." I waved as I left the house. When I was out of sight I turned into Cat Noir and set off to Marinette's house. Hanging off of the side of her roof, I gave a gentle knock on her window. The window swung open, almost knocking me off my perch.
"Cat Noir! Don't do that! You'll hurt yourself!"
"Aw. How else am I going to see you without walking through the front door?"
"You've seen me use my balcony door a thousand times." She flicked my forehead.
"Oh."
She chuckled. "I'm coming outside."
"I'll be ready." I winked and gave a parting kiss before jumping off the roof to hide in an alleyway. I detranformed and gave Plagg his morning cheese before walking to the door to wait for my girlfriend.
"Bye Mama! Bye Papa!" I heard come from inside the bakery. She opened the door and smiled.
"Hey Kit-" I interrupted her with a hug. "Adrien!" She said with surprise.
"What?"
"You've got to stop just picking me up." I set her down.
"You know you love it."
She rolled her eyes. "Okay. I guess." She handed me a croissant. "Here. I already ate."
"Aw." I grabbed her hand. "This is why I love you."
She gasped in fake shock as I ate my breakfast. "You only love me for my pastries?"
"Of course not." I winked and finished the croissant. "That's just a perk." I leaned down and kissed her cheek with my butter covered lips.
"Ew!" She wiped her cheek and laughed. "Gross!" Her face suddenly turned serious. "There is something we need to talk about."
"What's wrong?"
"Well, is it a good idea for people see us kiss? I mean, you have a lot of female fans. Won't they be disappointed?"
I waved a hand dismissively. "I don't care about that. If you don't want to kiss in public, that's fine, but you shouldn't stop because you think fans might get jealous."
She looked down nervously. "If you say so."
"If it makes you feel better, then I won't do any PDA in public." I let go of her hand, but she grabbed it right back.
