Adrien POV
The tracking chip blinked as she moved down the road, but then stopped, blinked about three times then cut out. I didn't need to see it for any longer. I knew where she was, but I didn't want to believe it. My feet pounded against the pavement as I ran towards my house.
I threw open the doors and yelled "Where is she?" My bodyguard looked shocked and ran to my room, probably to check on me. Nathalie just stared at me. I pointed my staff at her. "Where's HawkMoth?"
"He said he would deal with you later."
I laughed and stepped towards her. "Bold of you to assume I care."
She leaped back, but I ran at her. She flipped over me; I turned on a dime and extended my staff to trip her. She rolled as she fell and grabbed my staff to yank me forward. My body slid across the floor. With her hands still on my staff, I extended it. It hit her square in the nose. Blood began to trickle out of her nose. I stood up and ran up to my father's assistant. I lifted her head to meet her eyes.
"Where is he?" I growled.
"I'll never say." She muttered, before passing out.
I groaned and dropped her head. The most likely place for anything important to my father would be his office.
"Ladybug!?" I couldn't think of anything else to do but call out for her. It was silent, but suddenly, I heard muffled screams from the ceiling.
"Cat Noir!" My name came from above my father's moniter, facing my mother's painting.
"Ladybug!" I heard blows landing and yelling, and I followed the sounds. My body spun to find something, anything to find an entrance. I frantically tried to open his computer, but to no avail.
"Cat!" She sounded near tears, panicking.
"I'm coming!" I pleaded. I started overturning pictures and manniquins. Panting, I turned to the painting of my mother. My fists pounded against the wall. I realized that there was a bit of give. I pushed my finger on the area, and found a secret button. Quickly my hands flew across the painting, searching for more buttons. I found four more and pressed them the moment I found them. The ceiling opened slowly. I didn't even notice the platform moving me up. I jumped through the opening the second I saw the chance.
The room was cold and awash in purple light from the window. Ladybug stood out against the cool background with her bright red suit. She was clutching her stomach in pain, her hair had fallen out of her pigtails, and a bloody gash was slashed across her cheek. Opposite her was HawkMoth, breathing heavily, holding a sword.
"Ladybug!" I ran over to hold her."We'll get out of this, okay?" She nodded vigorously.
"Ugh. Cat Noir. You always seem to show up when you're not needed." I didn't even have a reply. I'm not going to banter with anyone who hurts Ladybug.
"Argh!" I swung my staff ferociously. I didn't care that this was my father. All I saw was a selfish villain willing to hurt anyone to get what he wanted. He blocked and parried, but fencing was my strong suit, not his. He was wearing down, and fast. In the corner of my eye, I saw Ladybug trying to quietly walk behind him. He spun to face her.
"Ah ah ah. Not so fast!" He cut a matching gash into her other cheek. I only saw red. I was ready to tear him limb from limb, but then I saw my opening. I grabbed his arms and yelled, "Ladybug! Now!" She instantly knew what I was talking about and snatched the broach from his neck. Instantly, the costume and the disappeared. My father was left, restrained by me.
I could hear Ladybug gasping for air, and I was left without a clue. "M'lady, you should get out of here."
"But Cat-"
"Meet me outside. I just need to wrap up a few things." She nodded, and stepped on the platform to go down. I dropped my father.
He glared at me. "You're just a child, you don't understand what I'd do to save my wife."
I met his gaze. "Mom wouldn't want this. The Miraculous are all about balance. Bringing her back means taking the life of someone else."
"Adrien?"
"Don't speak to me. I can't even look at you." I turned and stepped onto the platform to be let down.
"Adrien!" The ceiling closed up, cutting off any other lie he'd tell me to try and bring mom back. Before meeting Ladybug outside I grabbed the Peacock Miraculous I'd seen in the safe.
"Cat Noir!" She held me tightly and sobbed into my neck. "We did it." She whispered. "We finally did it." I hugged her back, breathing in the cold night air.
"Yes we did." I grabbed her shoulders and held her at arms length. "Wait, you're hurt! Are you okay? What did he do to you?"
She waved that away. "It's okay. I'm fine!"
I raised an eyebrow. "You're literally bleeding. I'm getting you some medical attention." I grabbed her wrist and pulled her along before stopping and looking at the girl walking around my courtyard in the dead of night.
"Oh! I forgot about BreakDown!" Ladybug smacked herself in the forehead.
"Stop hurting yourself!"
The girl looked up at us. "Oh my gosh! Did I do that? I'm so sorry!"
"Don't worry, you didn't do this. Do you need an escort home?" Ladybug asked.
"No, I live around here, it's fine." She leaned in close and whispered, "It's okay, I won't tell anyone your secret." She ran off, waving.
"Good to know." I turned to Ladybug. "Now, to get you patched up."
She smiled at me. "Can't you just kiss it better?"
"I'd love to, but I don't want blood on my lips." I scooped her up, bridal-style, and walked towards our meeting place.

I set her down on the cushions I brought.
"Are we finally gonna watch the movie?" She asked.
I laughed. "M'lady, it's one in the morning. I need to bandage you up and then you need to get home to sleep."
"But when are we going to reveal identities?"
"Bugaboo," I wiped the blood off with some ripped cushion fabric. "I know you're still in shock, but you're in no shape for that."
"But that's why we found HawkMoth, right? To be safe?"
"And we are. But now we have all the time in the world to reveal our identities."
"But I wanna go out with you now."
I sighed. "Tell you what. We meet in one week, and then we can show ourselves."
"What will I do without you till then?"
"Bold of you to assume I'm not going to check on M'lady's recovery every day till then."
She giggled then winced. "Ah. Bad idea."
"What happened? Why were you clutching your stomach in there?"
"He got a few hits on me. It's fine, just some bruises."
"Good. Do I need to take you home?"
"No, I can walk better now." She stood. "Thanks for the help, Kitten."
"Of course, M'ladybug." I stood up and placed the Peacock Miraculous in her hand. "Here. Bring this to the guardian for me. Tomorrow." I pointed at her nose. "When you're better!"
"Cat! Where did you find this!?!"
"In that hidden room. I think it's a Miraculous."
"Not just a Miraculous! These are the lost Miraculous!"
"What do you mean?"
"Come on! It's time for you meet the guardian." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind her.
