Frank

I’m so glad that me and Gerard are out to everyone now, we get to be all couple-y it’s brilliant. I know it may annoy some of the band but, what do they expect, really? I hope that soon, things pan out and things fall back into a happy family feel band who have no worries other than to figure out the future.

“Hey,” Ray spoke, walking from the living area toward my bunk.

“Hello,” I replied politely.

“So, planning on getting out of bed, or are you going to be anti-social all day?” Ray asked as he lowered himself onto my bed as I shuffled into a cross-legged position on the opposite side of him.

“If I had a choice it’d be to be anti-social but, because you’ve come and sat with me I guess I’ll have to get up… You have that effect on me you see!” I giggled.

“Aw, sweetie-pie.”

“That’s me,” I blushed, “So, how’s the love life going Ray?”

“The usual, though to be honest, I have been thinking about proposing to Christa soon. Seeing you and Gerard the way you are is cute, it’s got me going all mushy, I want me and her to be more like that.”

“It’s not all that good, people get annoyed when your mushy all of the time, me and Gerard have seen you guys get annoyed at some points you know.”

“it’s only because we’re all, well I’m jealous of what you two have and the fact that you see each other a lot.”

“Oh,” I blushed a bright vermillion.

“It’s so cute when you blush like that!”

“Fuck off,” I said moodily; he knew that sentence would make me blush more fiercely.

“Ha, you love me really.”

“I love everyone, so yeah!”

After a couple more minutes of conversation with Ray, I made my excuses and got washed, then changed and stumbled across a sketch that was screwed up in the bin of the bathroom. It was of a guitar, and Gerard had signed it. Aw, I think this is my design for a Christmas present. It was awesome, omg.

I ran into the living compartment where only Ray sat. “Where’s Gerard and stuff?” I asked, puzzled.

“They went shopping while you went in the shower. Gerard left you this though.” he handed me a post-it note with the words ‘Love Ya’ written in Gerard’s scrawly handwriting.

“Bless his cotton socks.”

“Aren’t socks nylon?” Ray giggled.

“Shh… Look what I found.” I handed him the sketch.

I watched him observe the sketch and analyse it with cogs whirring in his head. “Right, so this is by Gerard. It’s a guitar inspired by a Fender Telecaster. On the side it says ‘Rays Gift’. Sure your meant to be showing me this?”

Shit, fuck. Gerard will kill me. Fuck. “Omg, I’m so sorry, obviously not I mea-“ At this point Gerard walked through the door, could things get much worse?

“What’s up gu-“he paused, saw his drawing in Ray’s hand then looked angrily at me.

“Baby, I’m so sorry, I thought it was for me.”

“Gives you no rights to go looking at something that was in the garbage.”

“Yeah, but- but- I just, maybe…” I had no explanation.

“I fucking hate you. You’ve ruined my surprise for Ray’s Christmas gift.”

“Seriously, Gerard it’s fine!” Ray attempted to calm him down.

“But, you Frank, you need to ruin it you are such a fuck up, well done.”

Me and Gerard hadn’t spoken since our argument a few hours ago. He wouldn’t even look me in the eye. I felt so bad.

Hopefully, when we stopped travelling we could go to a Starbucks or something and talk it all out.

I walked into the bunk area, where Gerard lay, I tried to talk but he was being really dismissive toward me before he shouted, “JUST LEAVE ME ALONE, FOR FUCK SAKE.”

Before I could reply I felt myself jolt toward the left of the bus, as did Gerard. Before we knew it we were being thrown around the bus. Branches came shooting through the windows.

Everything went dark.
