"Come to think of it, it's unfair. Why do I have to explain myself like this? I mean, it didn't even happen." Jennie fought.

Yes, Jisoo's questioning haven't stopped yet, and here, Jennie thought she could have a peaceful time at the cafe as she drinks her coffee. Unfortunately, the gods were against that.

"It would've happened if I hadn't stopped it. And again, I'm not being jealous, okay? I'm just curious." Jisoo answered which made Jennie snicker. "What, curious?" The prosecutor nodded. "Wonwoo is Kim Mingyu's friend. I'm just curious as to why you're defending him, as a prosecutor."

Jennie sighed and leaned in to the table, "I am not on Wonwoo's side, and I am not defending him. I'm 100 percent sure Kim Mingyu is the culprit." The dark haired then narrowed her eyes. "You are? On what grounds?"

"He is the only person in the CCTV footage, and it's so suspicious that he ran away from the police. And, Wonwoo said he believed Mingyu because they're friends, not because he really believed that murderer." The reporter answered and drank a sip from her coffee. Hearing the response, Jisoo scoffed. "Are you defending Wonwoo?"

As she hears the question, Jennie slammed her coffee cup on their table before looking at the latter with a glare. "Seriously. If I have to side with someone, I'm on your side. I want Kim Mingyu to get what he deserves, and I don't want him to get away slyly with what he did like Mark Kang did. and I believe you won't allow him to get away so slyly."

"You're not rooting for me now, are you?"

"Yes. This is me threatening you. I think I'll be disappointed if you fail." She replied before looking into the dark haired's eyes. Doing that, something had entered her train of thoughts.

"Ya, where are you going?" The young Jisoo said as she held onto the smaller's arm. Jennie harshly shook the hand away from her, "Let go of me! I have something to tell him." She replied before turning around but Jisoo's hand latched onto her hand once again. "What is it?"

"You don't have to know. Let go of me!" She exclaimed quite loudly which made the latter let go of her. As she turned away, she heard the taller's voice.

"Let me go with you. I have something to tell him too."

"It's been quite awhile since Kim Mingyu turned himself in. When is he going to get what he deserves? That prosecutor called Kim Jisoo, what's has she been doing all this time?" Mina's mother rambled.

Yoojin, who's in front of them gave both of the archer's parents some files to help them with the case. "She's a rookie prosecutor in Criminal Department 3. This case is quite big for her, so he's taking his time and enjoying it. I'm sorry that the two of you are suffering everyday. How inconsiderate of her."

"Lawyer Song." The archer's father called her, making the lawyer listen to what he has to say. "I have pancreatic cancer, I just have a few months left to live. I really want to see Kim Mingyu thrown in jail before I die. If they fail to prove his guilt... I'll probably..." He trailed off as his hands formed into a tight fist.

Seeing this, the lawyer held his hand and smiled slightly at him, "Don't worry, Sir. I'll make sure to indict him in 10 days."

Going out of the mansion, Yoojin breathed the fresh air that hovered over her. Seeing this, the lawyer's assistant smile, "You didn't take off your watch or roll any paper today." She said as she really didn't notice the lawyer doing any of her habits. Taking her watch off and rolling tiny pieces of paper are habits she does when she's doing something that she knows is not on the good side of the law.

"I din't?"

"Are you not charging the consulting fee?"

"I won't. I was a fan of Jung Mina. I'll consider it as my condolence money." Yoojin answered with a bright smile and the latter noticed this. "You seemed to be in a good mood today." The lawyer then nodded, "Of course. I've been defending bad guys lately. It's been awhile since I defended someone innocent. It's like playing for the national team when I've been playing only for one of the EPL teams."

"What is your girlfriend's ring size?" The cashier asked Jisoo and the prosecutor pouted as she took a ring, sliding it on her pinkie finger to see if it fits.

The tall girl smiled sheepishly as she heard the question. "Well, I don't know the exact size."

Arriving on the crosswalk, Jisoo smiled as she saw Jennie on the other side. She waved her hands brightly and successfully crossed the street to meet the smaller.

Opening her eyes, a wide smile formed on her lips. Jennie sat up and cupped her cheeks as she felt the heat rising up to her cheeks. "Wow, i didn't know I could dream such a nice thing." Grinning in happiness, she put a hand on her chest and slowly frowned as she felt it.

"What's wrong with my heart? What if I die because my heart explodes?" She asked herself and once again, her toothy grin has come back.

"Isn't it too early for her to buy me a ring though?" She asked herself and looked at her fingers with happiness spread all over her face.

"Thank you." They all said in unison as Soyeon brought the food into their table. Like the other day, Wonwoo is joining them once again today.

"Wah, this soup is really good." Wonwoo mumbled as he slurped the liquid from his bowl. Everyone was oblivious to Jennie, and she should be thankful for that. If everyone was looking at her, they could've noticed the stares she's been giving Jisoo and the red tint that has painted her cheeks.

As they talked, Soyeon's head unfortunately turned to Jennie. "Jennie-ah, do you have a fever?" She asks worriedly and laid her palm on her forehead which made Jennie confused. "Why is your face so red?" Her mother asked and it made her cheeks turn redder. She put her hand to her cheek and mumbled, "Maybe because the soup is hot."

"What time should I come to your office today?" The lieutenant asked to Jisoo and the prosecutor turned to him with a smile. "By two, maybe."

Lisa, who's busy eating beside her sister asked out of curiosity, "Why are you going there?" Wonwoo looked at her and answered, "To be questioned as a testifier."

"Don't side with him because he's your friend. You should answer honestly." Jisoo said to him strictly and the officer nodded. "Of course." The prosecutor nodded in response and Soyeon suddenly asked a question. "By the way, can you prosecutors tell if someone's lying?" The dark haired laughed and nodded, "Yes, we can tell right away."

"I don't believe this either, but I heard her nickname is the human lie detector." Lisa exclaimed and Soyeon gasped, "Really?" She then turned to Wonwoo and asked a question to test it. "Officer Jeon, how do you like today's breakfast? is it good?" The officer nodded and smiled widely, "Of course. It's realliy good." Jisoo looked at him before looking back at Soyeon, "He's telling the truth." and that's how it goes on for a few more questions.

"Officer Jeon, do you think you're handsome?" she asked and it made the lieutenant burst out in laughter before shaking his hand. "No, not at all." Jisoo playfully slammed her hand down on the table and pointed at finger at Wonwoo. "He's lying!" The officer decided to ride with it, he looked at her and chuckled. "You're good."

"Do you have a woman you care about?" Soyeon suddenly asked and it made everyone stop eating. Jisoo's eyes looked at him while the latter's remained on Soyeon as he nodded.

"Yes, I have." The prosecutor's smile have faltered a bit and she nodded. "He's still telling the truth." Wit the answer she received, Soyeon dropped the final bomb.

"Is it Jennie?"

The said name looked at her and lightly slapped her mother's arm. "Mom!" Soyeon looked at her with raised eyebrows, "What? It's okay, I'm just teasing him. So?"

With a smile, the officer answered, "No."

"He's telling the truth."
