Hey, Cupid:
Why is it that love tends to take away one’s rationality? Is it really inevitable to do think about the happiness of the one you love even before your own?

Third Person’s POV
“Kaso that’s a Saturday night, right?” Feb asked him.
“Technically, we could go to the festival at maybe, 4 PM para makagala pa since I heard there would be many booths but yes, the concert starts at 7 PM.” Neville explained.
“You see, it has always been a constant for me to free my Saturday night so that I could have a movie marathon with Nonie. I really, really wanted to attend the festival because I might be busy again since classes will soon start the following week. But what should I do? I can’t just ditch Nonie. Baka magtampo ‘yon sa ‘kin. Matampuhin pa naman ‘yon.” The girl said, her mood changed from being excited to being gloomy.
If you would ask Neville, of course it would be better if it’s just the two of them who would go to the festival. This, after all, is his own special way of thanking Feb for helping him realize his worth after being dumped by his ex.
But Feb’s expression is really sad right now that he just instinctively blurted out,
“It’s fine, he could just tag along with us.” ‘If that is what will make you happier then fuck me and my selfish thoughts right now. I would rather be disappointed if that would mean you being happier.’ Neville thought.
“Really? It’s fine with you?”
‘It’s not but what can I do, your happiness is my priority.’
“Thank you! Not that I don’t enjoy being with you alone because I really do, but I believe na mas maganda nga na marami tayo. The more, the merrier! Isa pa, I wanted you guys to get along with each other para we could hang out together sometimes.”
Neville just tried his best to hide his disappointment and give Feb a genuine smile. “You should head inside. Good bye Feb, see you again next time.” He waved his hand.
“See you again next time, Neville! Take care on your way. Salamat ulit sa pag-invite! You should go now, I wanted to watch you leave. Don’t worry, I’ll quickly go upstairs once you’re out of my sight.” She said that and gestured her hands, as if she’s telling Neville to start walking.
The boy obliged after giving a final smile.

For the remaining days of the month before the scheduled festival, Feb would just spend her days normally, exploring new hobbies at home and of course, attending the volunteer work every Sunday.
Feb, aside from just volunteering in the medical mission, would want to make the remaining month more productive by engaging herself to some challenging activities but Vernon had advised her not to do so.
“Feb, we would be college students already in two months. I am fully aware that even if I would try to stop you, you would still participate on countless activities in and out of the university. That’s why, I’m asking you to give yourself a break. Just these two months. Try to relax for a bit, read your favorite books, go see movies with me, have a new hobby or whatsoever.”
Vernon’s voice was so sincere and full of concern that Feb just nodded her head without objections.
“Do you promise me that?” Vernon’s voice softened as he said that and then he held out his pinky finger.
