Hey, Cupid:

Only those courageous enough to be in the battle would be given the chance to emerge victorious. Though every battle is expected to produce winners and losers, would one still be deemed a loser even if he/she did his/her very best to win yet he/she somehow failed, nonetheless?

[Flashback to the time when Feb went with Psyche to the comfort room]

Third Person’s POV

When Feb and the little girl left the place, Alchemy, Neville and Vernon decided to sit in one of the nearby benches (magkakalayo siyempre, dahil hindi pa rin maganda ang pananaw nila sa isa’t isa.)

The atmosphere become heavy again. The three would not admit it, but the words that come from the fortune teller had managed to shake them up, leaving them thinking and reflecting. They wanted to make themselves believe that all those predictions weren’t true and were just empty and they don’t want to entertain the thought that something bad would happen in the future which could possibly hurt Feb. They were all in that state when Neville decided to break the silence.

“I know we all want what’s best for Feb. Even if we have different ways of expressing our concerns, in the end, all we wanted was to make her happy and away from harm.”

Alchemy and Vernon never wanted to agree because that was their rival speaking, but what Neville said was accurate down to its last words. So, they just silently nodded in agreement to what the latter had told them.

“So, I was thinking that we should really start settling the disputes that we have against each other. Feb is a really kind person and I know it would very much hurt her when she sees the people she cherishes fighting with each other. I know you don’t want to do this, but we must do this, for Feb.” Neville said, emphasizing the word ‘must’.

“Let’s not resort to petty fights anymore. It doesn’t make us look cute.” Al added, mimicking the way Feb said those words earlier when she’s scolding them.

Both Neville and Vernon smiled remembering how cute Feb was saying those words while rolling her eyes and crossing her arms in front of them.

“If this wasn’t for Feb’s sake, I would never agree to this, but, it is Feb we are talking about here so I would go fuck my pride and be civil with you guys.” Vernon said as he held as his hand for a handshake.

Neville took it and the three shook the hands of each other as a sign of a ceased fire between them.

“Also, I know you both like Feb. I love her that’s why I know you felt the same way about her.” Vernon added. “I will not beat around the bush, I’m telling you that I’ll do anything just for her to see me not as a best friend or as a brother but rather as a man that she would love romantically.”

“I feel the same way. I may have known her the shortest among us three, but I’m sure about my feelings for her. Feb is very lovable, one couldn’t help but fall in love with her charms, personality and basically, all of her. I’m willing to fight you guys fair and square.” Neville said.

“Feb was the reason why I’m always motivated to do things and pursue something. She’s that incredible that a self-confessed narcissistic person like me have fallen in love with her, utterly and helplessly. I never would have imagined my past self even spewing all these cheesy lines and what’s more, in front of my rivals.” Alchemy said scratching his head. “I would never surrender, not until Feb have told me herself that she already has someone in her heart.”
