Chapter 6: The Ark Of Trinity

At the palace...

"Are you sure Liam?" asked Alpha Eric with a very serious expression to his Beta.

"I'm very sure Alpha. Medical aid is been provided to the princess but only one stranger's body was found at the place of attack." Liam replied.

"So my Beta was right. Attack did take place but what surprises me is the person it took place on." said Alpha Alexander in his calm tone.

Everyone looked at him now. There were four men in the Alpha's office. Both the Alphas and both the Betas. Alpha Eric nodded at his best friend Alpha Alexander. He was deep in thoughts now.

"Alex I think it is no longer safe for our families here. We must shift them to the safe palace at the NewMoon Pack." Alpha Eric stated with his calculated expression.

"I couldn't agree more with you because according to the little girl's statement they called her Phoebe. I think they misunderstood her for Phoebe who was at the same place that very night." said Alpha Alexander with his hardened expression. At these words Alpha Eric's face darkened.

Alpha Alexander now looked at his Beta Simon and said, "Ask Ruth to take our families safely from the underground tunnel road outside the FireFlame territory. You go with our best shifters and wait for them outside FireFlame territory. As soon as you see them come out, take them safely to the NewMoon Pack. Secure the territory and be prepared for the worst."

Ruth is Simon's mate. Simon immediately nodded in agreement and replied, "Yes Alpha I will help Ruth organize their safe passage from the underground tunnel road and then take them safely to the NewMoon Pack. I will send a messenger with a message in coded language to inform you about our safe arrival in the palace."

"If anyone ask you where are you going with so many shifters then you can say for border patrolling you are appointed. Security is increased after the attack and now no one has to worry about anything. Things are under controlled." Alpha Eric briefly explained Simon.

"Yes Alpha. Don't worry about it. You both can count on me." with that he left the room.

"I think Alpha Orton will not take this attack lightly. He had already declared his daughter heir to his pack. He have no other children and his daughter was abducted by rogues for several years until they found her again. His attachment to his daughter is great and currently he must be burning with rage for revenge." explained Liam briefly.

"Unnecessary trouble or enemity especially in such crucial times are something we must avoid Eric." said Alpha Alexander with a thoughtful expression.

"Liam go and personally give an apology on behalf of the FireFlame Pack to Alpha Orton. Also give him an invitation for the dinner with us including the perks of the FunFair. Before that increase security for his pack members here especially his daughter and wife. Send them an apology with the best goods as gifts from us. Let their Luna know about this dinner invitation to her, her mate and daughter. Let me know her response too." Alpha Eric immediately commanded his Beta Liam.

"Yes Alpha I'll immediately leave for the BlackCurrent Pack with heavy gifts and tokens of friendship." replied Liam. Both Alphas agreed to him then he left.

"Eric Alpha Orton's daughter Myra said there was a man who saved her from two attackers. They both died but neither was the savior found nor the other dead man. Do you think it is her hysteria?"

"No Alex, I don't think so. There were 3 attacks past month and both were oriented on my daughter. Everytime the victim said something that sounds like hysteria but Pearl found it out to be true." Eric replied with his complex expression.

"I must say Pearl is a very powerful witch. You are truly blessed with a mate like her." Alpha Alexander replied respectfully.

Alpha Eric smiled at him. He considered himself lucky because she was not only a powerful witch and his mate but she was from the tribe of Levi. She was from the descendants of Levi. Maybe because of her they are both blessed with a daughter Phoebe a direct descendant of their diety Moon Goddess.

"Due to grace of Moon Goddess my daughter was magically saved everytime but I really can't live with watching her in danger anymore."

"We will protect her until our last breath Eric. Don't you worry anymore." replied Alpha Alexander with strong determination.

At BlackCurrent Pack...

Alpha Orton was burning with rage. All he saw right now was red. He couldn't contain his anger anymore.

"Summon The Ark of Trinity!" He commanded to his trusted witch and advisor Nefretis.

The Ark of Trinity is the Global Court Of Justice where 'one decision made by 3 judges of the court delivered inside the ark to both the parties' is called as 'The Ark of Trinity'.

Anyone who summons it must have a valid reason for it. If the reason is strong enough to create a war between two very powerful Packs then this organization comes in between as a peace maker.

Tenth of every Pack's earnings are given as taxes to The Ark Of Trinity every year. People working in The Ark Of Trinity doesn't belong to any pack. They are the descendants of Levi. A group of people considered to preach and maintain commandments given by Moon Goddess to their ancestor Levi for the peaceful existence of the werewolves community.

Only a descendant of Levi can stand for the election of a judge after every 5 years of gap. All the Packs across the globe vote for the nominees and first 3 are chosen to become '3 judges in alliance' aka 'The Trinity'.

"Are you going to declare a war against FireFlame?" Nefretis asked carefully.

"Yes!" Alpha Orton spat with anger.

"We must first inquire of the attack and gather proofs and witnesses Alpha. Otherwise The Trinity may bend towards them. Besides war at this moment is a huge loss but heavy compensation is a gain for a later war." she said thoughtfully.

"What do you mean Nefretis? If I let them go now people will gain courage to hurt my beloved ones again! An example must be set!"

"Indeed! It must be set. The Trinity will agree to charge heavy sums for the attack to avoid the war. This is enough for now. Besides one of the attacker's dead body was found. He had the mark on his hand that only is of a Satan Worshipper. So I believe it wasn't FireFlame Pack's planned attack. Truth will come out eventually. Before it does we must better settle for compensation and find the right culprit and punish them."

At the mention of Satan Worshipper, Alpha Orton's body went still. He couldn't swallow the lump in his throat. Panic and fear started taking over. He thought in his mind that was it because of his betrayal that now they are behind his daughter?

"Alpha?....Alpha?....Alpha! Are you okay?" asked Nefretis with worry.

"Ye..Yes! I'm fine! What you are saying is right. We must do it." he replied coming out of his thoughts avoiding her gaze.

She noticed the change and fear in his eyes but decided to keep quite about it for now.

"Yes Alpha. I will immediately send men to escort Luna and Myra back. Also inquire of the attack there and get the investigation report with them." she stated and Alpha nodded.
