Chapter 22: Here Is Your Future Alpha

Nefretis came to BlackCurrent Pack with her mate Liam for Myra's birthday as she was invited by Livana. Pearl, Eric and Phoebe were also invited. But Phoebe couldn't come because she was on her way to ParaCeta. But rest of them came together.

Alexander and Sittandra couldn't come due to some important reasons. Instead they asked Derek their son to go in their place as he was the crowned heir to their Pack. Derek also arrived on time. All most every Pack was invited. This was a big day for Alpha Orton as they were holding official crowning ceremony for their daughter Myra.

Pearl, Phoebe and Derek were of same age. All guests were received by Orton and Livana personally. Everyone was having a good time. Just then Myra walked in wearing her precious white dress made of pearl gifted by Aaron and a magnificent white crown encrusted with pearls on her head.

People gasped in bewilderment at her magnificent appearance. Livana and Nefretis were happy and proud of her. They looked at Orton but were suprised to find him lost in his thoughts. He didn't look happy or proud but skeptical and lost.

He tried to fake his happiness infront of everyone but Livana and Nefretis saw straight through it. This deeply bothered both of them but they left this topic for later. Soon everyone were seated in their places. Orton and Livana sat on their throne. One huge throne was made where both of them could sit together at the same time.

Myra's eyes were only looking for one person. She looked everywhere but was disappointed to not find Aaron. She felt sudden loss and sadness. What happened earlier today was a bit discouraging for Myra. She needed some encouragement. Orton on the other hand haven't spoken a word since then. That troubled Myra a little bit.

Then Orton got up to speak, "Myra come forward."

She eagerly raised her head to look at her father but to her dismay he immediately looked away to face the crowd before she could look at him. He didn't spare her a glance. She felt pain in her heart. Disappointed by his behavior she hid her sadness.

She was still confused as to why was he upset with her. Did she do anything wrong in the process that GloryBook rejected her? Wasn't he saying that the other man said it would reject if heir tries to open it before shifting for the first time?

She thought they were there only to find out who was right among both the men. This deeply bothered her but she thought to talk about it later with him. Then she came and stood next to him at some distance towards his left.

"Thank you so much everyone for accepting our invitation and being a part of our memorable day. As a proud father and Alpha I have no words to describe how I feel today." he stated in an emotional voice and moist eyes.

His voice was emotional and eyes were moist because he felt remorse for his dead daughter. Witch told him that she died years ago. She was killed by those rogues and all this luxury and happiness today that this doppelganger is getting in her name was supposed to be for his own flesh and blood, for his own daughter Myra.

People cheered and clapped for him. Glimpse of hope arose in Myra's heart. She felt emotional and comforted by his words. Then he looked at her and continued earnestly focusing on every word, "You my dear today will be served of what you deserve. That's a promise from a father."

'.....who lost his daughter' he said this in his mind.

People watched them in awe and cherished their love. People believed he was today indirectly promising her his throne and glory. But Livana and Nefretis looked at each other and their expression became dark.

They knew that this was how Orton give threats to his enemies. Luna Livana immediately got up, came forward trying to shield Myra's appearance from Orton's view, turned to face him and said meaningfully looking straight in his eyes more like a threat, "Yes my love, you are right. Our sweet little girl will indeed get what she deserves."
