Chapter 25: Great Betrayal

Krater's point of view...

When I scanned Nemesis's memories I saw their conversation with Hades. I saw how Enchantress found out regarding Myra not being Alpha Orton's biological daughter, how Zaiden made a plan out of it to trick her to believe that it was him that she is in love with and not me, atlast how Nemesis disguised as the witch helped him. Now everything started to make sense.

Zaiden is my twin brother so he easily tricked Myra. I met her in disguise as a human being to win her heart because she was important for me. I wanted to protect her from the evil world I live in. She was too innocent to be ruined by me or anyone for that matter. I sworn to protect her and hide my feelings for her from the creatures of the Underworld.

I won her love. We both are madly in love with each other and everything was going well until that day where Zaiden caught me with her but he didn't come forward to confront me regarding this that time.

I didn't knew he would do such a horrible thing to her! After that he went to her and acted like me. She was so innocent that she didn't believe it was him and not me. It wasn't her fault because she had no idea about who I was and that I have a twin brother.

Since we were pretty much in love with each other it was obvious for her to believe everything Zaiden said as he said that disguised as me. Besides she haven't turned into a wolf yet so she didn't had her wolf to confirm if Zaiden was her mate or not.

He told her everything about Underworld. He revealed his true identity of being Zaiden. He won her trust and love by tricking her. So she thinks that the person who loved her so much back then was originally Zaiden and not me. She never came to know it was me who she is in love with.

That bastard!

I was searching for Zaiden everywhere to kill him but I found him at most unexpected place. He stood near the banks of purgatory river with unconscious Myra. My eyes perplexed at the sight of it. Is she alive? Is it her soul? Is it her dead body?

My senses activated within seconds and I smelled presence of her soul. A sense of relief washed over my heart. Even if it's her soul I would make sure she crosses purgatory and not be stuck here with evil in hell!

But wait!

No please don't tell me he dumped her soul in it before I arrived here! Is that why she is unconscious? Purgatory river is the worst part of hell! I couldn't really keep watching it anymore. My rage took over me.

"YOU FUCKING RASCAL!! HOW DARE YOU!" I rushed towards him summoning my infinity sword. Today I was determined to kill him.

He immediately flew in the air with her unconscious soul above purgatory river. I followed him and before I could attack him he threw her soul in purgatory infront of my eyes!!

I immediately left my hold on my infinity sword and flew towards her to catch her. I caught her when she was just a split second far from falling in it. The moment I caught her my eyes widened with shock! I felt her weight. It was her body but she was not breathing!

But I felt presence of her soul inside her body! Have this bastard turned her into a Death Walker so that she won't be able to cross purgatory and loose all her chances to escape being his slave in hell?

Death Walkers are those creatures who are killed when they are still human by stabbing them with the deathly poisoned dagger enchanted by a spell using dark magic. With the help of this spell their soul is caught and trapped in their own dead body. They are forever trapped in there to serve as a slave to their master.

Panic started to consume my consciousness. I took her away towards the sides of purgatory and kept her head on my lap. I started shaking her while checking if she was hurt anywhere due to purgatory but to my surprise she wasn't. Then why was she unconscious before I came? What did this male version of hoe exactly did to her?
