Chapter 23: Black Water Pool

Krater's Point Of View...

"Mom are you okay?" I ran to her when she started coughing out her black blood again.

"Kra...Krat...!!" she started coughing more severly.

"Calm down Mom! Don't move you need to rest! Tell me where is your potion kept?" I asked her hurriedly.

She pointed towards the shell and I got it from there. After feeding her potion she started getting better with every passing second. Cara is a really smart and intelligent woman. She always keep solution ready even before a problem would appear. This is why dad admire her so much.

She already have too many potions available in the shell for various types of poisons. Only Dad, I and Zaiden know about this talent of hers. I am sure Zaiden would find the culprit and punish him. After a while she felt much better. But she was out of her strength so she needs to rest and feed to recover her strength.

"Son" she whispered with her tiny strength and I looked at her.

"Relax mother. You need rest." I told her instantly.

"I believe this was a plan. Nobody can do this without some powerful creature's help. I don't know why but I feel like something is going to happen." she replied with worry.

"What do you-- Ahh! Ahhhhh!"

Suddenly there was a terrible pain in my stomach.
I felt like someone stabbed it with an infinity sword!
Aaahhhhhh!
I can't take this pain anymore!

I could faintly hear Cara in the back of my head screaming my name and rushing towards me but I couldn't respond to her because all of my attention was on this pain that came out in the form of tears from my eyes.

At Dark Ritual...

"No!!" Livana screamed at the top of her lungs in terror.

She shivered at what she had witnessed. Fear crept in her heart. Her eyes were flooding. She witnessed Alpha Orton stabbing Myra with a deathly poisoned dagger in her stomach. They were both in the middle of a Unholy Circle.

Blood started oozing out of Myra's stomach and mouth. First Orton took her consent regarding her being sacrifice. The moment she said yes he puked out all his hatred to her from his own mouth before stabbing her. Her eyes reflected how betrayed and broken she felt.

She told him that she was indeed his own daughter but Orton said truth regarding GloryBook rejecting her and that shattered her. She cried out to him and tried to explain him that she doesn't want any revenge. She is not here to deceive him. She really have lost all her memories. She pleaded him to have some faith in Moon Goddess and her. All that she wanted was his love.

But before Orton's heart could soften at her words Nemesis disguised as a witch polluted his mind and heart by her vicious words. She was great at manipulation and deception. Orton unintentionally gave her full access in his moment of weakness blinded by hatred and so he did not believe a word that came out of Myra's mouth. As a result he stabbed her.

After a few hours....

Krater was wincing in pain for hours. Cara tried to help him but found no physical injury on his body to cure. She had to witness this helplessly. He was unconscious currently but Cara noticed slight movement of his fingers so she immediately started to shake him.

"Son wake up! Are you okay child?" she asked him hurriedly.

He slowly opened his eyes and stared at absolutely nothing above him. As if he lost his life. Cara was stunned. She understood what's going on with him. At first she had a doubt but now she believed it.
