Chapter 14: Aaron

8 years later...

Krater disguised as human riding a horse was in the final round of the annual race competing against the best horse rider of the BlackCurrent Pack. Crowd cheered gracefully for him. Two years ago he came to the Pack as a young boy in distress who had lost his family in an attack by the rogues.

Pack members pitied him so they allowed to let him live among them and earn a living. He told them that his name was Aaron. His good looks were quite deceiving. For the humans BlackCurrent Pack was a normal kingdom with King & Queen but in reality it was a Pack with Alpha & Luna.

In an instant he crossed the marked line and entered the victory area. Entire crowd got up and clapped in awe for their victor. He gracefully like a king got down from his horse and raised the flag of The BlackCurrent Pack. Flag had symbols of Alpha Orton and Luna Livana's identity stones printed on it. It was the work of an art.

"You are really gifted Aaron." said Myra with apprehension and confidence by honoring him with the Golden Torch.

Golden Torch was more like an award for the Victor. From past two years Krater disguised as Aaron is winning this title and is getting honored by Myra. Both the Pack and Krater hid their true identities from each other.

He immediately bent down on his knee, bowed his head to Myra, then looked up and replied with so much warmth, love and respect, "Nothing compared to your gift of beauty, Princess"

She turned crimson. He always made her feel these butterflies in her stomach. Crowd gasped, clapped and cheered wildly for him. She gave him Golden Torch and he took it respectfully. Then he immediately got up, took Myra's hand, kissed it by looking confidently in her eyes and warmly said, "Thank you so much for making my day Princess."

Her heart started racing fast. He always treated her so specially that every young girl in the Pack eyed Myra with jealousy. Many hated her only because he never looked at a single girl apart from her.

Alpha Orton watched their chemistry uncomfortably and immediately came forward to warn him like a protective father, "Careful there young man"

Krater let go of her hand and looked at Alpha Orton with respect and replied with his charming smile, "Yes your majesty."

Alpha Orton returned a smile to him then faced the crowd and said, "Congratulations Victor for your third Golden Torch in a row!"

He liked Krater from day one. His physic was never like any in the entire pack. He was stronger, faster and more intelligent than any other man in BlackCurrent.

Infact his talents were far better than demigods Alpha Alexander and Alpha Eric themselves! He broke all records till date! Alpha Orton always doubted about Krater being a human. He always believed that Krater might be a demigod himself.

"Myra's 20th birthday is near. I announce Victor Aaron's victory celebration and Myra's birthday celebration on the same day!" said Alpha Orton gracefully and entire crowd cheered wildly.

They all loved and adored Krater. Especially women. Every girl in the Pack fantasized about him. When Myra will shift for the first time on her 20th birthday her wolf will be able to find her mate.

Orton secretly hoped that her wolf would identify Aaron as her mate. If that happens then he can finally have his chance to gain the first position of Alpha Alexander. So he wanted to keep Aaron and Myra close on her birthday.

In BlackCurrent's Forest...

"Hey!" Krater pulled her in his arms afraid she would run away. She was startled when he pulled her into his strong muscular arms from behind. He continued across her ears, "I missed you so much"

Myra blushed badly. She felt blessed to be loved immensely by him. She turned around and answered with honesty, "I missed you too"

His expression darkened at her innocence. He wanted to have her now. Before she could say anything he kissed her as if his life dependent on it. She loved him. Their intimacy was always very passionate.

She always sneaked out of palace to meet him in this part of forest where nobody ever catches them. Though she always wondered how nobody ever smelled them or found out but Aaron told her that it was because they were in an abandoned area. But in reality it was because of Krater's magic. He concealed their smell and presence from everyone.

At Zaiden's Throne Room...

"I figured how Alexander located our dungeons and rescued his father...." Enchantress told Zaiden carefully. She was afraid for her life right now.

She waited for a while for Zaiden to respond but he didn't say anything. She peeked at his cold expression and sighed. She gazed down and continued, "Alpha Eric's mate Luna Pearl is a witch from the tribe of Levi. She used her magic to extract location of our dungeons because Goddess speaks through her. That's how she located our dungeons and saved Former Alpha of NewMoon Pack."

There was a dead silence in the cold atmosphere of his throne room. Zaiden as the commander of the Hade's army had his own throne room and Krater had his own throne room to lead Purgatory. Strongest was Krater as the Master of Purgatory but they loved each other immensely.

"Don't I have a witch too? But the only difference is that they have a useful one and I have a useless one!" he commented sharply on her.

She felt insulted and embarrassed infront of everyone. Something flashed in her eyes for a split second out of anger but she constantly kept her gaze and head down.

"We will soon attack NewMoon Pack for HolyBook so it's better for you to find Alpha Orton's weakness at earliest. If you fail then there will be unpleasant consequences." He spoke harshly.

His expression was unfathomable. Everyone including Enchantress shivered at his words. With that he got up and left the throne room.

Ever since that incident 8 years ago Zaiden was more aggressive than usual. He became more cruel because after the battle Alpha Alexander beheaded Alpha Adonijah's dead body, hanged it at Front Gates and burnt his rest of the body.

On his suggestions Alpha Eric, Alpha Ephraim and Alpha Jehoshapat did the same to all the dead bodies. Entire infrastructure was burnt too. Nothing was left. They didn't plunder them. All men were slaughtered and plunder was burnt. It was unholy for them to take any according to their commandments.

However, they allowed all women and children to live there but were forced to either submit to the commandments along with forced labor, taxes or die. They chose commandments and forced labor over death.

Entire border line was full of hanged up heads. It was a warning for all Satan Worshippers. Many Satan Worshippers drew back their practices due to such hard punishment. DareDevil was under the control of those four Packs from past 8 years.

One thought tormented Zaiden for eight years in a row, 'So much for being off guard for one second'. For every second since last eight years Zaiden tried finding Phoebe and HolyBook's whereabouts to avenge his mother and save his brother from the curse of MoonKissed.

Also about Alpha Orton's weakness to have a upper hand over him since Alpha Orton completely drew back from Satan Worshipping. His demons tried to make multiple attacks on FireFlame but they failed because FireFlame made their security far more advanced than usual after the last battle.

After trying so many times to invade their security Zaiden came up with a new plan to attack NewMoon Pack while everyone paid attention on FireFlame Pack thinking that it is FireFlame he is behind off. Zaiden strongly believed that he will find HolyBook at NewMoon Pack.

But he needs a human to read and tell him what is hidden in that book and for that he need to find some weakness of Alpha Orton so that he could trick him. Hence, today he told Enchantress to find Alpha Orton's weakness.
