what comes after.

and i wonder

what i'll say 

when i see you again. 

will i finally come to explain

how my sudden departure

wasn't out of hate

but of love,

but of caring 

something more than i should have

or will these thoughts

forever become 

something of the unspoken

between you and i. 

but then again,

i'll wonder if this ending

will ever be enough 

for me.

but then again,

maybe the truth isn't always needed.
