Chapter 6 : star

"inner demons feed on mind games. trust me, keeping them satisfied with my own twisted way of thinking"

Pain, my whole body felt paralysed. I was weak,vulnerable and helpless. My mind felt dizzy as I dazed into consciousness.

Trembling until my Stomach ached and tighten due to the hard cold floor beneath me. The stench of blood and sweat and human feces stained the air.

I choke loudly making the already unbearable pain worsen. The pain that I felt was a pain I wish I would never feel again. I wanted it to go away. I wanted someone to come save me. I longed for the comfort of my bed, to see Tilly and Jen again.

Hot tears started slowly escaping my eyes as my vision starts to blur. At that moment all my happy memories came flooding back. I cry harder until I'm coughing up my tears my chest feeling like it was being stabbed and lit on fire.

I close my eyes knowing there's nothing I can do. I let the sound of blood dripping of the old iron bars soothe me as I start to drift away. Where? I didn't know but it would be better than this nightmare.

"Poor creature," I hear from out side my bars.

My eyes dart open as I hear her voice. It was soothing and comforting. Angelic I would say but I had to face reality, I wasn't in heaven. This was the demon realm.

"Oh baby don't strain yourself to look at me," she says as I try look in her direction

"He really lashed out on you didn't he?" Hopefully if my brother gets in a better mood he'll let me attend to your wounds"

She says as I feel her eyes examining me.

"Hopefully next time I see you it's in better conditions and you can actually talk," she laughs to herself

"Well you are very gorgeous might I say, I'm jealous," she says admiringly

I was confused at her nice nature but just assumed it was because she saw me more as a abused poodle Than a person.

"Listen he isn't always like this he's just," she pauses for a moment

"He's just on his man period," she laughs

Man period? He beat me to a plump because he's on his man period. 

"I understand how you may feel this punishment was way too extreme, but I think it's just because he forgot how fragile you humans are,"  she says almost like she read my thoughts.

I wondered why everyone forces me to try and see the good in him? Why would my opinion even matter? He definitely doesn't seem value my life. I'm nothing to him. My life isn't worth more than a grain of sand. I'm a pet after all in the hands of a inhuman demon. How exiting.

She turns around sharply as the sound of food steps echoed.

"I have to go," she says before disappearing

I knew who was coming. I didn't have a doubt in my mind. His demonic presence spoke for him. Was he coming back for a round 2?

I knew that If I was gonna leave here.I would leave here dead.
