Snily One Shots

The New Seeker

Lily Evans and Severus Snape walked out onto the Quidditch field, broomsticks in their hands. It was about midnight, so Severus cast a Hiding Charm on the Quidditch field, so no one would see Severus and Lily.

Lily smirked. "You ready, Sev?"

Severus smirked back. "The question is, are you?"

Lily placed the box full of Quidditch balls in the middle of the field, still closed. Then her and Severus kicked off and flew to a reasonable height above the ground.

Lily and Severus had been coming to the field every night for the past three weeks to fly. Severus had gone from a sure flyer to an extraordinary pilot and could spot a penny in the midst of quarters in that amount of time. He would make a great Seeker. Yeah, sure, it was their fifth year, but better to join the Quidditch team later than never.

Now, it was time for a practice game. Lily flicked her wand, opening the box of Quidditch balls. Severus tsk'd. "No wands during the game," he said playfully.

"I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need it anyway," she joked back. Lily flicked her wand again, and the straps holding the Golden Snitch let loose. The snitch flew into the air and circled both Lily and Severus's heads before flying off.

"Game starts..." Lily paused, looking as if she were counting to three.

"Now!" Snape shouted and started to fly about. Lily laughed. "You're supposed to wait for the ref to say go, Sev! I call foul!"

Severus laughed as he circled the stadium, looking intently for a glimpse of the snitch. Lily seemed to do the same, just higher above Severus.

Severus saw a flash of gold above him, and looked up. Lily was looking down, and Severus knew she saw the snitch too. It stayed there for a second, taunting the two players too run after it, so they did.

Severus went up before jerking down, quick enough to make anyone else sick, to follow the snitch. Lily was side by side with him, going after the same target.

He pushed her gently, and she pushed back hard. Severus smiled, loving the challenge and allowed his broom to slow down a tad. Lily looked back to see Severus ram himself into the back of her broom, causing no harm to him, but causing Lily to falter. Her broom flew in circles, and when she finally got control of the broom, regaining sense of direction, Severus had caught the snitch.

He flew towards her and she smiled. "Cheater." She taunted playfully. Severus laughed and flew himself upside down, to where Lily and his head were at the same height, Snape just being upside down. (Think of it like a Spiderman kiss.)

"150 points to Slytherin," Severus boasted. Lily playfully glared at him. "And 150 points to Gryffindor."

"Points to Gryffindor? What for, Sev?" Lily questioned. Snape had a playful look in his dark eyes.

"For making the most beautiful girls, Lils. There's not many redheads in Slytherin, you know."

Severus then flew off, leaving Lily blushing furiously.

Lily sneaked herself into the Slytherin locker room. "Muffliato." She whispered, silencing the room from the outside. "Colloportus." The door magically locked.

Lily smiled. "Severus?"

Severus leaned out from behind the shower curtain. "Lily!" He stepped out, body wet and a towel covering his waist.

"Is it just us?" He asked, drying himself.

"Silenced the room and locked the door." Lily smirked.
