He Sent Me (part 2 of the Death Eater trilogy)

Regulus Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, Antonio Dolohov, Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape put on their Death Eater masks at the same time.

Everyone knew the plan except Severus. How was that fair? He couldn't figure it out. He just knew that they were on a raid.

"Let's fly," Regulus said. He was the apparent leader of the group.

Their five bodies dissapeared into thin, black smoke and lifted into the air. Severus followed behind the four. He knew he was the least ranked out of the five and therefore had no power whatsoever. He didn't mind though. These people liked him. That's all he wanted really.

His mind dropped to Lily Evans as they touched down and solidified their bodies. Regulus saw Severus. He smiled. "Don't think about her just yet, Snape. You'll see her in a bit."

"What?" Severus didn't know if he heard right. He hoped he had mistaken Regulus.

"We're making a raid on the Order," Malfoy instructed. "I suggest whatever doubts you have about doing this, you get rid of them, Snape."

Severus was screaming on the inside. I can't! I can't attack Lily! There's no way, if she got hurt, it would be my fault!

But on the outside, his face was of indifference. "I have no doubts, Malfoy. I couldn't care less about the mudblood scum. I just wasn't aware of the plan of this raid."

Bellatrix laughed. "Just imagine, five Death Eaters taking out the entire order! Just imagine getting Dumbledore!"

Dolohov growled. "We're not supposed to kill Dumbledore, we're supposed to attack the mudblood and her swine of a husband."

Severus's heart stopped. We have orders to attack Lily? He was surely going to faint.

"Where are they?" He asked.

"In there," Regulus answered. "My old home."

12 Grimmauld Place.

"This is their headquarters?" Lucius said with disgust once the hidden apartment had come into view. "Quite disgusting."

"I couldn't agree more," Regulus and Bellatrix both said. Severus had to remember they were cousins.

"Let's get this over with," Dolohov said impatiently.

"I suppose we should. Everyone, Reducto on three," Regulus ordered and they all pulled out their wands.

"1..."

Is this a good idea? Maybe I should run, I would kill myself before I attacked Lily.

"2..."

Maybe, maybe, I can help her. Somehow, I can keep her safe. Yes, I'll protect her as I fight. That's the best I can do right now.

"3!"

"Reducto!" The Death Eaters shouted. Their spells hit the front of the house and caused several explosions.

There was no answer. Regulus commanded, "Again."

"Reducto!"

More explosions, but no Order.

"It's a good thing we decided to go shopping today, eh, James?" A voice called out behind the group of Death Eaters. I know that voice.

No one whipped around faster than Regulus and Severus. He almost gasped. Sirius Black, James Potter, Lily Potter, Madeye Moody, Alice and Frank Longbottom stood before them.
