Years ago, a woman named Ming Lian was home in her quiet village on the Southern China countryside. Ming was not just any woman of a common kind, she was a mutant. An incident happen many years ago that left her with a new body of an animal, and the mind of herself. She didn't go mad or have throw a fit. SHe was aware there was no reversing what is done, so she learn to accept it. Ming is trained in many styles of fighting in the Chinese art, protecting herself wouldn't be an issue. As for what she is, well, lets just say she is now a beautiful bipedal mouse.
Night has fallen over the land as Ming sat quietly in her home with hot cup of Chinese herbal tea, her many favorites. The night, itself, was silent with fainted chirps and songs from the cicadas and crickets outside as the silver ribbons of the moon shiny through her windows as all the light in her home were as ready to rest for the night.
Ming sat quiet in her home when, suddenly, a loud crash erupted from the back of Ming's home. Alerted, Ming rose from her position and slowly walked towards the back of her home. MIng peaked through a small opening next to the door, but saw nothing. With no other option, Ming ready herself before opening the back door and stepped into her large backyard garden, where veggies and fruits of all kind growing here.
With only the moon providing light, Ming slowly traverse through the thick greenery of her garden. As she moved, the subtle sound of leaves rustling from behind alerted the bipedal mouse who took this as a opening to see and subdue her intruder. Ming made her way towards the sound of the rustling and found its source, but it wasn't what she thought.
Laying there in a state of pain was another anthropomorphic being of another animal. A turtle to be more precise. The turtle was a female with two younger ones in her arms and and basket with two other eggs inside. The turtle woman was in a terrible state. Her shell was damaged and her arms and legs were covered with slashes. She was running from something and protecting her hatchlings from any danger as well.
Ming looked around her garden before taking the turtle and her youngs inside her home. Ming laid the youngs and the eggs in one room to rest while keeping their mother in another to care for her wounds with. She was very bloody, with some wounds still oozing blood out of them. It took some time, but Ming was able to care the turtle's wounds. Now, she need rest.
Ming left the room so that the turtle may rest peaceful and went ahead to check on her youngs. As she enter the room, Ming saw small movements in the room as shadow casted onto the ground. Ming soon thrusted her entire body into the and was met with two pairs of small eyes staring back at her. The two little ones are awake.
Ming stared at the two turtle hatchlings as they stared back at her. They were so small, with two easily fitting in one arm. Ming smiled at the two baby turtles as she slowly made her way towards them. And to her surprise, one of them came close up to her, still clearly tired as it let out a small yawn. The other did the same. Ming chuckles at the youngs before setting them to rest in a small makeshift bed she made for them. A large woven basket with soft fluffy white blankets inside, nothing special.
The youngs fell asleep the moment their faces touched the blankets and the two other eggs were secure in another basket with a heat lamp keeping them warm. With nothing else to do and everything secure, Ming herself retires for the night and prepare for morning.
Morning 7:30am
The morning sun broke the the barrier of darkness as the golden rays lights the land below. Ming woke to the sound of morning bird singing their graceful songs. Soon the memories of last night flooded her mind as she sit up from her bed and makes her way towards the kitchen. She'll prepare a breakfast for herself and her unexpected guests with something a bit sweet for the youngs. As she prepare the food, Ming heard the pitter patter of small feet and soon enough, the two youngs were wide awake, ready to play.
"Hey now, young ones. Be still, food for all of you to eat will be done shortly." Ming said to the youngs. They seem to understand and left the room to another.
Once she was finish, Ming placed the spread of food on tray and ventured towards the room where the mother turtle is recovering.
Meanwhile, in another room, the mother of the youngs and eggs awakens from her painful slumber. Her eyes flutter open as the light from the sun's rays blinds her a bit. Her body ached, her limbs felt numb, and the sound of pounding throbbed through her head.
Her memories were foggy but she still remembers the events of last. As her eyes adjust and takes in her new surrounding, the sound of footsteps filled her hearing. There wasn't anything she could as she laid there, unable to move. The bamboo and fabric shoji slid open revealing the sources of the footsteps. The first two was those of her already hatched youngs and the other was thus of another mutant.
"You have woken, that's good. Yor body needs some time heal, do rest." The mutant said as she sets an tray of food down onto the ground next to her. The mutant, herself, was a pretty one. She was a mouse with many feminine characteristics. Her body was perfect, what every man would dream of, her fur was silky with some edges being fluffed, and her face held a calm expression with a powerful soul.
"Where am I?" The mother asked as her two youngs laid quietly next to her. The mouse gave her a soft smile before speaking.
"I'm Ming Lian, I'm the owner of this home. I found you with youngs and eggs unresponsive in my garden. You were badly damaged and was still bleeding in some areas. Took you, youngs, and your eggs in and cared for your wounds." She said placing herself on her knees.
The mother stood silent as she took in the words of the mouse. For a bit of time, the mother have not spoken. Her head turned towards her youngs as they played together on one side of the room, clearly happy.
"Thank you, but I don't have much to repay you." The mother said as her eyes casted away from her savior.
Ming looked at her with sympathy, confused with her response.
"You owe me nothing for my deed. You needed help and I simply provided that, and if you very so needed, you may stay here for some time."
The mother stared back at the large mammal before letting a small smile spread across her face. She accepted the mouse lady's offer and relaxed her body which she didn't know was so tense. The rest of the morning was peaceful with the knowledge that a mother and her youngs are safe to grow and live.
Ming fed the mother and her two hatched youngs who then fell asleep afterwards. As noon begin to peak, Ming remember one piece of information she needed before.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I didn't catch your name or your youngs." Ming said as she cleans and packs the used dishes on to the tray.
"My name is Oasis, and my two youngs over is Mei Pai Chi and Lorata. Mei is the eldest."
Ming smiled the names presented to her, with a nice 'beautiful names' comment unconsciously escaping from her lips. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
