"Mianqian" Ming's voice echoed across the room as the girls race to the front of their mother's door.
They all sat beside on another, from the eldest to the youngest. A pattern they like to mix up a bit each time. Tallest to shortest, most flexible to least, etc. Ming began to walk slowly around her girls, studying any injuries and damages that may have been received form the training.
"You girls did well today. I'm very proud of you all." Ming spoke as she stopped in front of them.
"I all of you did well, while some of you under estimated your opponent's skill level. It may cost you." Ming warned. The girls nodded, agreeing and understanding their master.
"Speaking of skill level, have you decided who's gonna be the leader, Shifu?" Larota asked with a patronizing tone.
Ming stood quiet for a brief moment, letting her daughters listen top the surrounding silence. Talena would be a good choice, but she still has much to learn. Though Amoly is smarter than she appears, she's still very young and naive. Much growing is needed. Larota. A strong fighter at heart, but has a temper that can overcome her. She must learn to control it than let it control her. Finally, Venus. Bright, always puts her sisters' needs before her own and is the one in the family who was able to learn and wield magic. A skill not many have. However, she must learn when to rely on her magic then guess it. It seems the choice is obvious.
"Yes, I have decided. Venus De Milo, you are the leader of this group." Ming proudly announced.
Seconds of silence filled the room before another could be spoken.
"While all of you have the ability to be a leader, you all have challenges that you must overcome. Venus, all you have to do is learn when to use your magic. You don't use unless you have to. Do you all understand?" Ming explain. They all nodded in agreement.
"Now, you are all dismissed." With those final words,Ming disappeared into her chamber leaving the turtles to their own devices.
They all stayed there for a minute or two before leaving the room. They ventured through the fifteen feet wide and thirty feet tall hall that lead to a stair way to upper level of their home. Once they got to the upper level, they all scattered to do their own things. However, today was special.
Today marked the anniversary for when they came to New York from China. The heartache they all the pain they endure, the trials they overcame, and how they were able to adapt to a new place in living. This day was celebrate for how far they come.
It was late in the afternoon and the bright golden sun was beginning to set over the orange horizon. Venus wanted make something this year and it needed some time to prepare. She walked through the living space, passing Lara and Amoly who were caring light pink and red decorations. Decorations Tally was able to make with form plants within the dome. This made them biodegradable, so at least they aren't hurting the environment.
Venus heads towards a set of spiral stairs that lead to the main sources of their. The dome. The has gotten better since the time they first moved in. At first it was nothing but a circular slab of concrete that was around three miles wide and wall that were six feet above the ground. On top of all this was a large thick glass dome that maybe reached two hundred feet tall. The dome was so decrepit, chipping and decaying away with age.
Venus was able to repair it with magic, which back then, she did a lot. Using it less as the years goes on. Over time, they filled and altered the stone enclosure so that food for them wouldn't be an issue in the years to come.
Now, the dome resemble a beautiful hidden garden, with vegetation of all sort growing tall and green. Fruits and veggies grow every day while also matching the season. The was given the name Oasis, named after their birth mother. Fruit trees by the variety was grown in a crescent shape that lined the dome, hidden within the trees, and private patch of grass with a memorial to the Oasis. They'll come to pray to it every month.
Venus ventured within the dome with a basket in hand, picking veggies and fruits for the food that she was planning on making. Curry with rice and mango pudding. Everyone's favorite. Today was special.
Several Hours Later.
The celebration was fantastic. The girls had fun cooking and eating the dishes they made and Ming was happy to be blessed with such amazing daughters. She watched they grow up and train under her, even training each other in skill sets that wasn't apart of the original training.
As Ming watched her girls talk and eat, the thought she has been dreading for so long began to resurface. Letting the girls rise to the Surface. She knows that she could't keep they down her forever. They're growing and chances are that they maybe someone in this city that they may get along with. However, danger and enemies still lurks in this city and she knows it.
But teens being teens, she also knew that they were going to sneak out eventually. Ming giggles at the cliche thought. the thought circled her mind before coming to a conclusion.
"Girls, many you all please be seated, there's something I need to announce to you girls." Ming spoke with her signature soft smile on her face. The girls obeyed and listen.
"As you all may know, it has been some time since we have left China for a better home. Though the old home and memories won't ever be forgotten, we looked forward and held our heads up high. All of you trained so well and hard, proving time and again that you can stand as one or fight as one unit." Ming paused for moment before continuing, the girls respecting every word.
"I have thought long and hard about this decision and I decided that its time to step beyond the dome." The girls froze as the words poured out of their mother's mouth.
"Shifu, are you applying that...." Tally nervously talked, shaking in her words.
"I am now allowing you girls to rise to the surface."
**************
Another long wait. Sorry online school is really not being kind to me and my sibling are not helping.
Before moving on, due note that the girls going to the surface is happening after the boys. Karai is present but that whole situation with Leo never happened since it wouldn't logically make sense.Karai is enemy and Leo seeing her as one is more believable, also Leo is 17 while Karai is near 22 since she was taken nearly six years before Splinter got the boys who were newly hatched.
This makes the relationships go smoothly with only the difficult one being Tally, Donnie, and April. I'm going by the head cannons I found which said Donnie lost interest in April after a while but pretends to still like her that way. Look them up, they're good.
If you have any question you like me to answer, just ask and I'll make a post on it later.
Until than, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and like always
