Set before the Prince episode

"I don't think I can do this" Jess stammered.

"You can do this Jess, I believe in you" Nick responded

"But I've only ever sung in the shower or in the loft, not in front of a crowd"

"I've heard you, your voice is amazing. Please Jess, if we don't have some sort of live music the bar will close"

Jess nodded and made her way towards the stage, a spotlight shone upon her, which caused her to squint her eyes.

She looked out at the audience, if you could even call it that. The bar was barely full. She knew she had to do this. The bar meant everything to Nick. The music started up behind her and she shakily grabbed the mic.

Started out as friends but I knew we'd end up together

Well, it's been a couple years and it just keeps on gettin' better

Jess started off shy and avoiding eye contact with everyone in the bar. She locked eyes with Nick, who gave her a reasurining nod and mouthed "you can do this".

This gave Jess the confidence boost she needed.

She started singing with more confidence and the more she sang the more fun she had. Everyone started dancing around the bar and ordering drinks.

This caused passerby to stop in and in no time, the bar was packed. Nick worked doubletime in the bar serving drinks to all the customers.

By the end of the song, a large crowd built up and were clapping.

"Encore! Encore!" they all yelled. Jess shyly looked Nick who gave her a thumbs up.

She sang another song and that caused more people to cheer and  pretty soon the bar raised enough money.

At the end of the night when everyone left Jess into Nicks arms. He picked her up in his arms and twirled her around. 

"You were amazing Jess! I knew you could do it!"

"I couldn't have done it without you".

"Because of you we raised more than enough money,  you saved the bar Jessica. Thank you".

Jess shyly looked down, "Well if the teaching thing doesn't work out then maybe a singing career is in my future".

Nick wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. He leaned in and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"You're amazing. You know that" Nick said.

"Yeah, but  you missed" Jess said and gestured to her lips.

Nick chuckled and leaned towards Jess's face.

This time he didn't miss.
