I hurried to finish the papers and handed them to the man, "Thank you m'am" He said and glanced quickly on the papers. I don't understand what the meaning of all this is, but I trust him. He's the experienced one on all this. Beside, everything must be alright after all.. Calum haven't called yet, which is a good sign.

There was a knock on the door, and a few seconds later, the other man we were with came in.
"Ready to go?" He asked and look from his co worker, to me. I nodded my head fast and was more than ready to go back and help my friend and his band mates.

"That was quick." The man I've been with all the time stated, "But oh well, let's go then!" He added and rose to his feet. I did the same and the old policeman held the door for us, and we all walked out from his office.

I walked a little bit behind the guys, and thought about all kind of scenes of what could happen. So many many things could go wrong, yet there still was a small chance of succeeding. A small chance is better that none at least..

I reached for the door handle and sat myself in the backseat. The car started and I could feel my heart pounding. I looked out the window, and tried to think only about the good scenarios that could happen. It didn't work that well, and for every second that went, the closer we were getting to the house. I was thrilled about rescuing Michael, and his friends. After all, everything is my fault. I shouldn't have told him about Stephan, maybe we would still be at the bus and he wouldn't be trapped down there.

"Hey!" My head turned from the window to the younger man, the one who had spoken. "Are you nervous?" He asked looking at me through the rear view mirror. "Yeah.. Yeah, everything's alright.." I answered a bit unsure. "Just excited to finally see my friends again, that's all" I gave him a glance through the mirror and put on a small plastic smile for him before looking out the window again.

After a few minutes of driving, he finally pulls up beside the house. I can see Calum as well, and he's running towards the car.
"Finally! I've been trying to call you a few times, but it led me straight to the voicemail?" The tanned guy said and looked over at the policeman.

"I haven't gotten any calls?" Was his reply and opened the car door for me. "Was it important?" He asked Calum and he scratched his neck and looked down at his feet. "Was just wondering when you would arrive"

"We're here now" The older man spoke, "Has anything suspicious happened?"
"Not from what I've seen" Calum answered and the two policemen nodded their head before giving each other a glance, and then walking up the door.

"Should we follow them?" I asked Calum, and he looked concerned and his gaze went from me to the door. "Yeah, they're basically rescued. What could go wrong now?" He gave me a half hearted smile, and I gave him one as well. We walked up to the policemen and just as we reached them, they pulled out their guns.

"On three" The older one whispered. "One" He said and backed away from the door a little. "Two. Three." He whispered-yelled fast and kicked in the door.

"Holy fuck" I said in amazement and looked over at Calum. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. His eyes were huge and his mouth was open. "You got a little drool there" I said and giggled a bit, while pointing on his mouth. " I do not!" He defended himself and turned his head away for me, and reached his hand to his face. A few seconds later, he turned his face back to me, and repeated "I do not.." I mumbled a "If you say sooo..." and begun to walk inside the house. "I can easily do that, too" He kept defending himself, and I just mumbled a "yeah, yeah okay.. I believe you"

"But it's true!" He almost sounded desperate. "And I believe you" I said sarcastic. "Did you hear that?" I broke our little 'argument' and paused my movements. "What? I can't hear anything?" He said and raised an eyebrow. "Exactly. It's too quiet" I whispered and looked around. Where the fuck did the policemen go? They can't just vanish..

"What shall we do?" I whispered loud enough for Calum to hear. "We should look for them. They're our only hope for finding my mates" I nodded, and continue to walk in the hallway, we reached the kitchen, when this thought hit me, "Don't you think it's a bit odd that they went to get papers, but kick open the door? Why would they need the papers then?" Calum looked puzzled and opened his mouth, but before he got the chance to say anything, he fell right down, smashing his face at he ground.

"Calum!" I yelled and ran up to him. "Cal!.." I screamed and tried to bring life to him by shaking his body. Lifeless. His body was lifeless. He didn't move, he didn't even breath.
I burst out in tears, hoping that one of them would be magic and save him. You know, like in the movies? But nothing happened. He laid there. He just laid there, and there was nothing I could do about it.

I sat beside Calum's lifeless body, and looked around us. I saw no other person here, there was just me and him. So wonder what killed him?.. He fell towards me, so he must have been hit by something from the hallway. I examined Calum's body and how could I have missed it. There's literally so much blood flowing from the back of his head down his shoulders.
And all this blood comes from two small bullet holes?

I don't know if Stephan has a gun.. But I do know two persons who definitely has guns.
"The cops?" I questioned myself. "But.. It doesn't make any sense at all..." I looked around me, to see if I saw any shadow, or something. But nothing..

I heard applauding coming from the back of the kitchen and turned around. "You're not as stupid as you look to be" A little feminine voice said.
"Y-you?" I stuttered. "But.. But w-why?" I couldn't believe my eyes.

"It's fun" She replied nonchalant, "And you're actually right..." This little maniac said and started to walk closer to me. Which made me walk backwards. "They're a part of this" My little sister said still walking slowly towards me with a smirk stuck on her face.

"The cops?" I foolishly asked. I didn't know what else to say. Okay, she's a maniac that likes to destroy my life, but I would never guess that she was able to kill anyone!

"No. The cats" She rolled her eyes and looked behind me. "Melodie.. Meet Nate and Trevor.. A friend of dad's" As I went backwards to the hallway, I felt how my back bumped into something.. Or someone..
I swallowed this huge lump I had in my throat, and was terrified of turning around. I felt two muscular arms holding me tightly and I couldn't move a single bone. On my upper body. I could still use my legs. Which I did. With all the force I could get, I kicked him with my heel on his shin (I wore shoes, so it must have hurt a little at least).

It worked, and he let go of me, and grabbed his shin instead. I (Like the dumb ass I am) aimed for the door and started to run. The other guy (Nate or Trevor, still don't know who's who) panicked and looked at the devil, she only yelled at both guys "Why are you still here? Bring her to me you morons!"

With my bad luck, I tripped by my own feet and a few seconds later I felt another body on top of me. It was heavy and it gave me a hard time to breath. "Please, just.. Let me go.." I begged all three of them. "Sorry no can do." Was the last thing I heard followed by a loud thud.

I saw my life passing through my eyes, and my head crashed on the floor, with blood running down my face.

I had failed my mission, because I can't save the boys now when I'm dead.
Or can I?
