Chapter 13

"Oh? Where are you going? Hindi ba ay wala kang pasok ngayon?" Mommy said as she approached me.

Tumayos siya sa harap ko. Ang kaniyang noo ay nakakunot. Nakasuot siya ng isang nude dress at mukhang pormal na pormal.

"It's still early. Saan ang lakad mo, Reign?" She ask while sipping on her hot tea.

Humarap ako sa kaniya at inayos ang suot kong nude bandage skirt.

Pinsadahan niya ng tingin ang kabuuan ko at ngumisi.

"You have a date?" She said while giggling.

Inilagay niya sa lamesa ang hawak niyang tasa at tinignan ako ng maayos.

Jordan is picking me up outside our village. Pupunta ako sa isang malapit na landmark at doon siya hihintayin dahil hindi naman pwede na dito mismo niya ako sunduin sa bahay.

"Wala mommy!" Sigaw ko sa kaniya at inayos ang suot kong shoulder bag.

"Hm..." She hummed in a mocking tone. "Okay anak, whatever you say." She gently push me to the door. "Go on." She mouthed with a playful smile plastered on her lips.

I gently moved my head from left to right.

"Yeah, about that mommy?" Kinagat ko ang labi ko at tumingin sa sahig.

"Yes, anak?" She ask while tapping her fingers at the table.

Huminga ako ng malalim bago itinaas ang tingin sa kaniya.

I pouted a little. "Do you still remember Lavender?"

Yes, I know. Honesty is the best policy. I know lying is really bad but I have too.

"Lavender?" She ask, nakakunot ang uno.

"My childhood friend. Lavender Ramirez?"

Heck! I don't even know who is Lavender.

"Lavender? I can't seem to remember her. But what about her?"

"So she just got back at their province and she's inviting me to their house, to sleep over."

I am so proud of myself! I didn't even stutter. I raised my head to see her reaction.

"Does your Daddy knows?"

"Uhm... about that." I lick my lips. "Can you tell him after I am gone?"

"After you are gone?" Now I got her full attention.

"Yes, ngayon kasi 'yon Mommy. Sandali lang kasi siya dito sa Pilipinas." I smiled.

Niliitan niya ang kaniyang mga mata sa akin.

I am starting to feel guilty! I never lied to my parents before! Jordan can really make me do things!

"Please?" Lumapit ako sa kaniya. I wrapped my arms at body to give her a hugged. "Please, mommy?"

She heavily sighed, then I knew I got her. I smiled in victory while hugging mommy.

"Okay, I'll tell him. But you have to call later! Your Daddy will be mad!"

"Okay, so I am ready to go now?" I smiled happily.

"Wait, saang probinsiya ba 'yan? I'll call our driver."

"Cantabria." Sinadya kong hinaan ang boses ko. "And their driver is picking me up so no need."

"Cantabria? Okay. That's far." She bit his lips. "But fine."

"Mommy, it's three days." I am really trying my luck here.

As what Jordan told me, Cantabria is 10 hours drive from Manila. 20 hours iyon lahat kasama ang pag-uwi. A day won't be enough for us.
