The Burning Desire

Chapter 28

Huminga ako ng malalim habang nakaupo sa sofa ng living room nila Kendall. I crossed my feet as I looked at the phone that I am holding.

Jordan:

Please do not skip your snacks.

That's how Jordan and I converse. Maikli lang ang mga reply niya sa akin hindi katulad noon. Okay lang naman iyon sa akin dahil alam ko na marami siyang ginagawa at maaring pagod siya.

He did not say anything about what Jane and him talked about at the coffee shop and I respected that. At least I know that they are not together anymore.

He also assured me that he already came clean to Jane. That's the assurance that I need. Jordan words are more than enough for me.

I decided not to pry anymore.

Their are some things that I am not supposed to cross anymore. I've crossed enough lines for my life now.  I am deeply sorry for what I did, no words are enough to express how sorry I am for ruining another woman.

I am currently waiting for Kendall to come down from her room. Ang sabi kasi niya sa akin ay magpapasama siya sa akin papunta sa salon at sa isang sikat na ice cream shop.

I am only wearing a black dress for today, I paired it with a chunky white sandals. I didn't wore any make up today because I felt lazy putting it on my face. Ang tanging inilagay ko lamang sa aking katawan ay sunscreen at pabango.

"Finally!" I sighed loudly when I saw her coming down from the stairs.

Ngumuso siya sa akin at umirap.

"Girl, you're just like me. Matagal ka din kayang mag-ayos."

Kendall has always been like that. She's like a turtle. Ilang oras ka sigurong maghihintay para lamang matapos siyang magbihis at mag-ayos kaya mas mabuti na lamang na ikaw ang ma-late kaysa siya.

You'll get bored to death while waiting for her to finish and then you'll see that she's just getting started with grooming herself.

Sumakay kami sa kaniyang kotse at siya na ang nag drive papunta ng mall.

Raika's not around right now. Inaya din naman siya ni Kendall pero mukhang busy ata ang isang 'yon kaya hindi nagawang sumama sa amin.

Ngayon ko lamang ito napansin. Raika seems to be much busier now rather than before. Ano naman kaya ang pinagkakaabalahan noon?

Kendall parked at the free space on the 2nd floor of the parking lot building. She pressed the locked button before we walked towards the entrance of the mall.

Dumiretso kami sa salon kung saan siya nagpa-reserved. While walking, I saw a lot of people looking at us, mayroong babae at mayroong lalaki. Some people's eyes followed our walking statue as we passed by them.

Hindi na namin iyon pinansin ni Kendall at diretsong naglakad papunta sa salon.

We were immediately greeted by the warm smile of the security guard, I smiled at him to acknowledge his greeting.

Ang sumunod na bumati sa amin ay ang mga staff doon. Kendall headed at the front desk to ask about her session today. May sinabi ang babae na hindi ko naman naintindihan.

Ang tanging ginawa ko lamang ay sumunod kay Kendall papunta sa isang private room na mayroong dalawang upuan.

"We're going to have a full body scrub." Baling niya sa babae. "Oh! And also, we'll have a facial." Tumango siya dito at umayos na.

"Tell me again why are doing these?" Humikab ako habang sinusubukang tignan si Kendall.

Pareho na kaming naka towel na lamang ngayon para sa body scrub. To be honest? This felt relaxing.
