The Burning Desire

Chapter 24

Another day has already passed since my last encounter with Jane that night.

My face is lying in front of the bed in a reverse position way which made me not so comfortable. I am pressing a hot compress at my hips so the swelling will go away quickly.

I can still vividly remember what happened. To be honest, I don't think I will ever be able to remove it from my memory. It's all I can think about specially because I haven't gone out of my room for two days now.

I want the swelling and the pain to be completely gone when I go out. I don't want to take a chance of letting my cousins have a glance on the bruise at my hips.

The bruise is not that big, thank God for that. It turned a little bit yellowish and the swelling is not that big anymore, probably because of the medicines.

When I was done tending to my hips, I sat comfortably at my bed and grab the brunch I've ask our maids too prepare earlier.

I quietly eat as I watch greys anatomy on my flat screen TV. I carefully laid my back while spoon feeding myself.

The only person that I've let to enter my room was Raika and Kaiden, they were the only ones who new about Jordan and me after all.

My cousins specially Kendall was mad because I won't even let her in into my room. Hindi ko nalang sila sinagot. Kahit naman ang dalawa kong kapatid ay hindi ko pinapasok sa loob ng dalawang nakaraang araw sa aking kwarto.

It was good for me too. I was able to think clearly and to rest peacefully.

Jordan called and messaged me a lot of times. Sinasagot ko naman iyon at sinabi sa kaniyang mayroon lamang akong sakit kaya hindi ko magawang makipag kita sa kaniya.

It's okay for him, though. He even asked me if he can come over but I declined him. I'm afraid he would've seen my bruise if I let him come. Well, not like I can either.

After I was done eating, I set aside my plate and leftovers at the bedside table and took my medicines. I am taking three pills in total. The other two medicine is for my hips and the other one is my birth control pill.

I was too scared to use condom because it may have a hole so I've decided to go to my obstetrician instead for a prescription.

The first time Jordan and I made love, we were not able to use a condom. Na-realized lang namin iyon kinabukasan. I immediately took a morning-after pill or emergency contraceptive pills to prevent any unwanted pregnancy.

Napakunot ang aking noo ng makarinig ng mga mabibilis at matalas na yabag mula sa labas ng aking kwarto. Nagkibit balikat nalang ako, siguro ay si Legion o Kuya iyon?

When I was about to take my last pill, the door suddenly burst. Iniluwa noon si Raika at Kendall na parehong bihis na bihis at nakaayos. Agad kong itinago sa ilalim ng kama ang birth pill dahil sa gulat.

"You've been inside this cave for two days now! What are you even doing here?" Kendall abruptly ask as she examined my room like she is disgusted by a mere sight of me on my naural habitat.

"Hello, Kendall." I sarcastically called her name.

I frowned unconsciously while looking at Raika who only raised her shoulders at me. Inirapan niya si Kendall at umayos ng tayo.

"I tried to stop her." Si Raika habang hinihila ang braso ni Kendall upang tumigil ito sa pang gugulo ng mga gamit sa aking kwarto.

"Oh come on! Hindi ka ba nababagot dito?" Hinawi ni Kendall ang kamay ni Raika at lumapit sa akin.

"Kendall, lalabas ako kung nababagot na ako. I'm fine here." Nagkibit balikat ako sa kaniya.

"You look like a potato." She said as if stating the obvious.
