Chapter 26: Dream

Sofia's POV

My head is spinning right now. Ang daming kaganapan ang nangyayari ngayon. First, Sapphire is missing. Second, may isang ahas ang umaaligid kay Lucas. Lastly, gutom na ako. Gutom sa pagmamahal ng aking Mike. Char!

Lastly, we cannot go back anymore.

"Any news?" tanong ni Jane.

"Negative. I can't even feel her energy. I'm so worried na kay Sapphire."

"Yeah. Out of all of us, yung kanya pa yung hindi pinaka-stable. There is a tendency to di-"

"DON'T" sigaw ni Claudia.

"Please anything but that." Nanlulumong dagdag ni Claudia.

A moment of silence filled the room.

"Kuha lang ako ng maiinom." paalam ni Claudia.

I sighed. Si Claudia, ang pinaka-attach kay Sapphire kaya naman I can understand na hindi siya mapakali.

"You know. There's something wrong with that school. Unang pagtapak pa lang natin naramdaman ko na." bulong ni Jane.

"Yeah. From the start, I felt that place is trying to reject our existence. There's only one reason I can think of. I wish na hindi ito yun. Great sacrific-" I can't even finished my words as I shudder by that thought.

"Sshhh... It's taboo. Don't ever mention it."

Pareho na lang kaming nanahimik at nag-focus na lang sa paghahanap ng location ni Sapphire.

So dark. Am I dreaming?

I saw a little girl who looks familiar and was trying to open the door.

I tried to chase the girl but suddenly vanished out of nowhere but left the door opened.

As I opened it, a creaking sound brought chills to my spine. It is a little garden full of trees and plants. At the center of it, a glass tomb lies on it and a figure settled on it. I walk slowly as I adjust my vision but a ringing sound suddenly rang on my mind.

Before I woke up, I saw its face-

"Are you okay? Pawis-pawisan ka."pag-aalala ni Claudia.

"Yeah. I just dreamed something. I don't know if it's a memory or a vision." sabi ko habang hinihilot ang sentido ko.

"Okay. Just be careful. Previously, you gave us almost a heart attack nung hindi ka gumising ng ilang linggo."sabi naman ni Jane.

"True. I called Cross what is the update in the academy. He said na kalmado naman at wala masyadong event which na ikinakabahala ko." dagdag ni Claudia.

"Nabalitaan ko nga na may ilang estudyante ang nawawala at nasulpot na lang without a memory on the day na nawala sila. I hope na gawan nila ng solusyon. Memories are dangerous things lalo na kung magamit sa maling bagay."I said while reading the file of missing person.

"Ang ikinakabahala ko naman ay they have similarities. Nakasalamuha nila si Sapphy including those bullies."

Tiningnan naman namin ang yung kristal na naglalaman ng life force ni Sapphire.

"Ang alam lang natin is buhay si Sapphire." sabi ni Jane.

"Di naman nila siguro gagawin yung mga kaibigan natin."sabi ni Claudia.

Napatingin naman kaming dalawa ni Jane kay Claudia.

"Send a surveillance kina Mike at sa iba pa."sabi ko.

Jane summoned her guardian, Aera. And she made some little air fairies and it vanished in thin air. They're the most appropriate to send as air is everywhere.

I picked my stabilizer and put it on.

"Where are you going?" Claudia asked.

"Somewhere." I said and a flash of light invaded my sight.

Mike's POV

I looked outside of the window of my room and try to remember the time I spent with beloved Fia. Why did she suddenly disappear? As I imagine her figure starts approaching me and her little fingers holds my face and calls my name.

"Mike."

Yes, that kind of feeling. Hindi ko alam na ganito ako kagaling mag-visualize.I closed my eyes Then, I continued visualizing how her hands were so soft like marshmallow and those warmth. Yes, this kind of warmth. The warmth slowly spread through my face. I opened my eyes and saw eyes staring at me.

I blinked. She blinked.

"AHHHHHHHHH. FIIIIIIIII-"Bigla niyang tinakluban yung bibig ko at binatukan ako.

"Ang ingay mo pa rin eh." She chuckled. That f*cking angel voice I always dreamt. Did you see that chuckle? God. Take me.

"Oh ba't natulala ka dya-."

Tumayo ako at yinakap siya nang mahigpit. So tight yung tipong hindi na siya makakawala.

"OY! Mike..."

I didn't heard what she she's trying to say but all I know she's here. She's right here with me. 

"Fia. Fia. Fia." I called her name repeatedly.

"Sshhhh. I'm here. Please don't cry." She whispered. 

 It's only a week but it feels like a decade.

Suddenly, I feel so sleepy and a yawn escaped my mouth. I held her hands tightly. She led me on my bed and sat on the chair beside it. I tried to find a spot that looks comfortable. I looked at her.

"You're her, right?"I mumbled while holding her hand. 

She only hummed but I took it as a yes. Those sleepless night caught me and darkness invaded my sight.

Next morning, I looked in daze at the chair beside me while contemplating kung panaginip lang yun. Maybe, it is just a dream. Arghhh. I miss her already.

On that night, Sofia erased Mike's memory and kissed his forehead.

"I miss you, too." She said and disappeared on the corner of the room.
