I can hear alot of muffling and shifting over the phone,so I'm getting a bit worried.
"Are you okay, there's alot of noise in the back."
"Uhmmm yeh, I'm good, uhhh I was wondering if you wanted to come up to Brooklyn for a few weeks,you're on winter break right,If I'm not mistaken it's winter in SA right now."
"Yeah it is and its extremely cold this year. I would love to come,but I don't have enough money."
"Oh darling," she starts laughing, "Don't worry about that at all, I'm paying for the ticket, I'll send you the e-ticket.
I'm really worried about you,ever since your parents died you've been burying yourself in studying and you haven't been in touch with any of us."
She's right I haven't,I hated that my parents had to die, especially at the age of 18,when life just started and as my dad would say "the outside world is tough,and you think you can manage on your own!"
I never wanted to listen to him,but now its tough and i guess it harder without them. Being the only child makes things even worse because you can't fall back on anyone to talk to.
"Thank you truly, I'm going to go pack right now"
"Ohhhh, I can't wait to see how pretty and grown up you are, I'm going to send a driver to pick you up at the airport, he'll be holding a sign with your name on it, Bye my love."
