Today marks Kaine's twenty second day on the run from his original home town, his second day here in this town. He slept in one of the inns last night and made an acquittance at the reception. Hr ran down the stairs that were old and creeky. He thought how them old folks made it moving up and down this accident prone area. After last night, his energy had rejuvenated, his aura was sky high and he felt energized. He looked around the room and felt something unfamiliar something that screamed for him to be afraid of it, but he chuckled at the gut feeling. 'Wycres fear nothing,' he thought as he ordered for breakfast.

'Morning Linnet,' he smiled politely at the lady at the counter.

'How was your night dear?' the elderly woman inquired pleasantly.

'Pleasant,...I will have black coffee with eggs and Bacon.' he said.

'Sure thing, Delilah!!   Delilah!! ..' she called but in vain. 'I wonder where she is, in a bit.' she told Kaine as she set off to the kitchen.

Looking around he noticed posters hang around the inn and a group of people at the far end of the room discussing something that seemed to be important. He waited to ask Linnet when she returned.

'Here you go, fresh and tasty' Linnet said placing the order in front of Kaine.

'Thank you, ...uhmm what is with the commotion' he said point at the group of people that had increased in a few minutes since he last so them.

'Ohhh, I forget you are new dear' she said laughing a bit when she scooted closer to him, narrowing her eyes she whispered.
'you know, this village was once haunted so a group of young men led by the church hunted them down, ever since then, that day was remembered, that's why you dee them posters around.' she looked around as if someone might have heard her.

'So do you know what exactly was haunting this place.' Kaine asked placing imaginary quotations while he said haunting.

'Everyone has a different theory, some say it was a witch.' she continued her assault in Kaine's ears as she whispered.

'A witch!?' Kaine repeated, a little bit to loud for her liking.

'Shush.' Linnet placed a finger on his mouth as she nervously looked around. 'but I personally doubt it.' she continued.

'Soo... you thi......' Kaine was interrupted before he could finish playing detective.

'The usual.' a sturdy looking man with ashy blonde hair said. Linnet gave Kaine one final look as if saying to keep quiet about their discussion before she left for the kitchen.

He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, it was no longer a morning jog. It was as if he was running away from his demons, so fast he wanted to go and never turn back. He remembered life before the run, his it felt to be with family buy now he was supposed to make it in a new town, not that he needed baby sitting. A certain scent brought him back to reality, some thing familiar. He followed it till he met the source.

'What you doing here?' he asked not seeing need for salutations. The man lying on the bed of dry leaves blinked his eyes and a grin formed on his perfect face. He had black hair and wore black jeans and a tee.

'Never thought I would see you this soon.' the man said placing his palm down to help himself elevate.

'You know there can't be two Wycres in a town so let's make this reunion a bit more shorter.' Kaine retorted.

'Hey..hey!! easy now am just making my way through.' the man said holding his hands up in surrender.

'Now that's more like it.' Kaine mumbled before resuming his jogging.

As he turned at the corner of the path he led, he noticed a huge pond full of water on his right. The sight was a memorable one that he decided to walk towards that direction. The water was glimmering due to the rays of the morning sun that hit it. He heard birds sing in the trees near by as he noticed how the rays played well on the waves that he was momentarily lost in the image before him. A loud cry, or more of a scream brought him back to his senses. He looked around searching for the direction of the sound and made his way further into the woods.

'Hello is anyone there?' Kaine shouted as he continued to the same direction. At the exact moment, he had a loud scream again, he noted it to be a woman's. He decided to run when he noticed a young lady lying down with blood in the picture.

'Hey, what happened?' he rushed over to the woman, up close she seemed to be in her early twenties. Her face was covered with mud and trails of her tears could be seen, then she slowly pointed behind her.

'A deer!' Kaine said in disbelief, he almost chuckled but decided against it. He just confirmed how humans were queer creatures.

'Okay, am going to help you but you have to tell me where to take you.' he said as he braced himself to carry her.

'The bed and breakfast' she said.
