29. It's not the end

I stared at him for several minutes and didn't utter any word as I still  couldn't believe that he was here, the man who caused all of this tragic fight just because he deceived Jennie and told her that my life will be at risk if she didn't leave me.

"Uhm.." Jisoo mumbled softly, gauging for my reaction, probably because I wasn't expecting to see my father here. "Are you really gonna stare at each other for an hour? I still need to save Chae–."

"What are you doing here?" I snapped cutting Jisoo off after coming back to my senses after a few minutes of getting shock.

"I..uh, IU c-called me before y'all decided to go here." He stammered while scratching his nape and glanced at Jieun who was glaring at him.

"Why'd you call him?" I asked, though not snarky but there's still a hint of annoyance in my voice.

"Because he's your father." IU replied nonchalantly before she padded over to Jiyong and smacked his head. "I told you not to tell her that I called you."

"I'm s-sorry, I got scared." Jiyong said, I quirked and turned my body to fully face him and put him under my heavy gaze.

"You're too gutsy to show yourself at me after you betrayed me and fucking pushed Jennie away?"

"Yeah! You're gutsy, now, can I save Chae–."

"I know and I'm sorry, it's just that, I'm afraid that your life might put you at risk because of her." Jiyong said, he has a point, somehow, but it shows that he doesn't trust me. He doesn't know what I'm capable of if it's about Jennie's safety.

As Nayeon said, I am a demon, I'm one of them and I'm starting to show my demon side, not fully, but gradually, I know I am not that weak because I possessed two powers, one is being a goddess because my father was literally a Deity before he became a demon and second is a demonic power which I assumed if those two overlapped, I'll be an immortal.

An immortal with unparalleled strength, and with that strength, I can protect Jennie to whoever will try to hurt her, even from the strongest deity, which is Jennie's father.

"You can't be serious, my life was at risk when Jennie left me, is that what you're trying to avoid? but look where we are."

"No, that was just a grievance, Lisa. What I'm referring to was Jennie's father, the brotherhood of Thorns and everyone who wants Jennie to die." He said and stood straight and looked directly into my doe eyes, I copied him as I held his gaze.

"But Jennie was strong tho? Now, can we save Chae–."

"Do you really think that you can protect her with just love?" He asked again.

"No, she needs to be strong and I really need to save Chae–."

"I'm not like you, Jiyong. if you were not able to save my mother out of love, don't compare me to you because I can save Jennie and protect her because I love her and this love..." I trailed off and walked closer to him and glowered. "...was the reason why I'm here and risking my life." I finished and looked back to my friends. "Let's g–."

"Oh no no, let's just fucking stay here and forget about them, you can take your fucking time, Lisa." Jisoo said with full of sarcasm on her voice while shaking her head vigorously and she even sat on the floor and looked up at me. "Go on, we have all day and we'll save those girls if y'all done fucking arguing."

"Chu, we're done talking."

"Bitch, I'm not convinced, go on, talk." She scoffed and crossed her arms.

"Jisoo!"

"What?!" She snapped and looked up at Seulgi.

"Get the fuck up and stop throwing a tantrums! You ain't three!"
