JENNIE
Two weeks had already passed. The one week that Lisa promised me never got fulfilled, although I'm already expecting it because of Nayeon's irritating nags, she said that Lisa and Jisoo surely will take a few months before they find their demons, but it's not wrong to expect, right?
"I wonder how they are?" Chaeyoung asked while stirring her coffee for how long it has been since she occupied the seat next to me.
I stir my face lightly to spare her a glance and shift back to my own milk coffee sitting on the table top with a cold chocolate drink in Lisa's favorite mug next to it.
Releasing a lungful sigh and slumped shoulders. "They're probably doing stupid stuff." I snort.
"Yeah, that was my first thought." Chaeyoung agreed with soft snort. "But I was kinda worried about how they could eat if they were in the deepest hell."
I frowned and turned completely to Chaeyoung and held her hand. "Chaeng, would you please stop worrying? You're adding frustration to me."
"But Jen, I'm really worried."
"I know, I'm worried too, but Lisa told me that she will be fine, they will be fine. Can we just trust them?"
"I'm sorry." She sulked and rested her head on the table, burying her face on her elbow. "I miss Jisoo."
"I miss Lisa." I whipped my head to the person across from me and cocked an eyebrow. "I miss Jisoo too, relax." Nayeon said laughing mockingly. "You girls miss them too right?" She turned to the squad who eagerly nodded their heads. "See? I'm not the only one."
"You should let me say it before you." I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
"Ok, NG." Nayeon deadpanned and turned to Chaeyoung, the latter sat straight then she repeated her whole actions, sulking down her head to the table and buried her face on her elbow.
"I miss Jisoo." She repeats. I pursed my lips when Nayeon held out her hand to me, gesturing me that it was my turn to say what I was supposed to say.
"Stop." I growl lowly on my throat.
"You don't miss the D.A?" She asked mockingly.
"I do, I miss Lisa, so much that I can't take another day without seeing her." I finally said the words that I've been dying to say and let my head fall down, my forehead hitting the table but I couldn't careless. "I fucking miss my fiancée."
"Wow, I still can't believe Lisa proposed to you." Jieun said in disbelief while staring at my ring.
I shoot my gaze up at her under my hair that's covering my face. "What does it mean?"
"Don't get me wrong, Jen. I don't mean anything, I was just surprised that Lisa finally wanted to settle down." She explained though I'm not really taking it in the wrong way. "I mean, Lisa wasn't really open to the idea of having a family at first, what more quitting on her job, but all of those have changed since she met you."
"She's right, Lisa was just a happy-go-lucky person, she didn't even see herself having a family with me." We all looked at Nayeon ridiculously and Jeongyeon slapped her arm lightly. "I mean with Yiren." She took it back.
