JENNIE

Lisa hugged me like her life depended on it and her body trembled while crying loudly against my shoulder. She hugged me so tight that I couldn't breathe and I had to smack her head just for her to loosen the hug and she tipped back.

"Jennie!" She cried and pulled me again for another hug. "J-jennie!" 

"Yes, I know, I'm Jennie." I said, chuckling, encircling my arms around her head and pulled her closer. "You okay?" I asked, almost a whisper in her ear.

"Y-yes, I'm r-really sorry that I couldn't save you." 

"Shh, I'm fine. You don't have to worry." I cooed and leaned back to cup her face. "Are you sure you're..." I stopped talking when I saw in my periphery what's behind Lisa and my left brow automatically raised when I saw Nayeon's black wings that's now slowly hiding in. I know that she's a demon daughter, but I wasn't expecting that she have a fucking wings? That surprised me, to be fucking honest.

Lisa looked over her shoulder while still sobbing and sniffling then she looked back at me. "You already know about her, right?" Lisa asked and I nodded my head. "Now tell me, how did you get back? H-how'd you escape from Jiyon-."

"From your father." I corrected her. "We had a fight and I won." I said, shrugging my shoulders. 

"B-but how?"

"It doesn't matter, I'm here and I'm safe." I said to dismiss the topic and I pulled her nape to pressed my lips against her, it was just a quick kiss that Lisa didn't even have the chance to reciprocate my kiss as I pulled away and she let out a groan of protest. "Save it later." I said chuckling and kissed her again before pulling her hand towards the others.

"Jennie!" Chaeyoung beams as she jumps into me and hugs me tightly. "Thank's God you're safe!" She said in relief after she pulled away and cupped my face.

"I am." I replied with a small smile that made Chaeyoung quirk and raised her brow. "Will talk to you later." I whispered, audible only for her and she subtly nodded her head.

"So what happened? How did you-."

"Babe, can I ask for a glass of water?" I asked Lisa, cutting Ryujin off and Lisa's eyebrows were curled but she still obliged and she walked to the kitchen. When I made sure that she was already far from our earshot, I turned to face them. "No one will ask how I escaped, enough that I'm already here and I'm fine, so please stop asking what happened ."

"Are you seriously asking us to close our mouths where in fact, that's the most common question we will ask after what happened in the underworld, so what's the catch, Kim?" Jisoo said mockingly.

"Nothing, let's just forget it, what matters the most is, I'm safe and all of you are safe." I dismissed and followed Lisa to the kitchen, leaving all of them dumbfounded.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw Lisa standing in front of the countertop, she was staring into nothingness and seemed out of her senses. I walked behind her and wrapped my arms on her waist. "Penny for your thoughts?" I asked and she flinched from the sudden contact and she snapped out from her deep thoughts.

Lisa rested her hand on my arms that's on her waist and rubbed them soothingly. "Babe, I need to tell you something."

My heart started to beat frantically and I mentally prepared myself from what she was going to say. "W-what?" I asked nervously.

"I..." She paused and took a deep breath. "Where's Jennie?" She asked and my brows furrowed, loosening the hug and I tipped back. She immediately turned around and our eyes met, her deep brown orbs piercing on mine. "Where's my girlfriend?"
