lol I choose this song because it's been stuck in my head. It really has nothing to do with the story, but enjoy! :)

Anne leaned her head out of the car window breathing in the sweet and salty smell of the sea, her red hair blowing in the wind.

"Marilla I can't believe you never told me we were moving right next the ocean! Right next to the beach!"

Marilla Anne's adoptive mother sighed. "I guess it slipped past me.", she gripped her purse tightly looking out the window, her old blue eyes full of emotion.

Anne pulled her head back inside the car and leaned forward giving Marilla's shoulder a quick squeeze. Anne was no fool and  knew Marilla wasn't the most thrilled of moving back to her to the town she had grown up in.

Mathew , Anne's other adoptive parent, who was normally extremely quite and rarely spoke looked through the review mirror smiling at Anne. "Green Gables is actually right on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. There should be a path for you to climb down right to the beach! Marilla and I did it all the time as kids!"

Unlike Marilla, Mathew had been thrilled when Marilla finally agreed to move from New York City to their old home in the small town of Avonlea which was on Prince Edwards Island. He had told Anne later that he had always felt that New York City had never been the right place for him. Anne couldn't help but agree, even though she had grown up in city all her life.

New York held to many bad memories for Anne. To many scars which would come back and haunt her. Be in her nightmare's. Marilla and Mathew had no idea. Anne had learned that the only way to survive was to bury those horrors as deep has she could and try to forget about them.

But this was Anne's chance. She was moving. This was a fresh start.  A new-life if you would like to put it that way. To make friends.... go to highschool... to sit and learn in a classroom..... those were all things Anne had only read about in books before. And just a couple years ago  it would have been a far off dream, but Anne had a family now and a new life. And she wasn't going to do anything to mess it up.

As their car pulled up in the long driveway Anne couldn't help but let out a shriek of excitement, earning a annoyed glare from Marilla.  But, Anne couldn't help it. They had finally arrived at their new home. As soon as there car was parked Anne opened the car door and raced outside. In front of her was a huge old and white house. Her new home. Behind it was the barn and the pastures and Anne could see a chicken coup and some cows, sheep, and goats grazing.

"Hello Green Gables!", Anne called smiling. Green Gables was the perfect name to call the estate. Anne turned around to see Marilla and Mathew standing at the edge of the cliff on the other side of the driveway. She raced over to them.

Anne's blue eyes widened. It was the most beautiful sight Anne had ever seen. Below her the dark blue waves crashed and Anne could spot a small beach.

"Oh.... it's so..... wonderful", Anne breathed in awe. She couldn't believe she was going to be living somewhere so beautiful. Anne could see Mathew smiling a twinkle in his eyes and could see tears forming in Marilla's. Anne took her hand. "What's wrong Marilla?", Anne asked worriedly.

"N-Nothing", Marilla said shaking her head and pulling away from Anne. "I suppose we better unload the stuff." Anne watched Marilla walk back to the car exchanging a look with Mathew, who shrugged. "We better do as she says. Besides I want to show you your new room!" he said winking at Anne.

Anne laughed, taking Mathews hand heading back to the house.
