I heard Zuko get up with a groan. I quickly wiped any tears from my face a rushed to help him sit up.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, getting my water prepared for another healing session.

He scanned my face. "Katara, what's wrong?"

I said nothing. I looked down and felt more tears pour down my face.

"He'll be okay Katara. Everyone will."

I looked up and saw him giving me a weak smile. I cried even harder.

"I'm just so scared..." I managed to let out between sobs. Zuko painstakingly lifted his hand to put it on my shoulder. I could tell he didn't know how to console me but he didn't need to. He just listened while I talked.

"After everything we've been through, I just wanted to be by his side. What if he needs me and I'm not there to help? What if he doesn't make it, Zuko? What then? He yelled the last time he spoke to us, do you remember? Aang never yells. What if that's the last we see him? I didn't even say goodbye!"

Zuko gave me a sincere look before he hugged me. I cried into his shoulders. "Katara. You know Aang will win. It's just your nerves talking. Aang is one of the most powerful benders I've ever seen. I havent been teaching him firebending for long but he's not far from becoming a master. He's a talented kid, he's got this"

He is a powerful bender. He's mastered water and air and he's only 13. I remember when he stopped that volcano all by himself at Aunt Wu's Village. She told me I was going to marry a powerful bender.  I smiled a little between my tears.

Zuko suddenly got up.  "Did you hear that?" He asked. It sounded like an engine. He walked to the window and I joined him.

It was an airship.

We both stared, stunned.

What did this mean?

"Katara, go get your water pouch, hurry! We need to be ready when my father comes out. Get ready."

I ran and slung it on my hips, not allowing myself to process the implications of what Zuko had just said. We need to be ready to fight Firelord Ozai when he gets off the ship.

We stood outside the palace, where the airship was about to land. I gave Zuko a determined nod before I pulled out my bending water.

The airship landed and a ramp extended from the door. Zuko and I stood, determined and ready for the fight of our lives. We had just won the firenation capital, we were not going to loose it. The door of the ramp slowly opened, and I prepared myself to attack when I saw the firelord.

Sokka was leaning on Suki and Toph at the door, their hands up in the surrender position with smiles on their faces. Tears welled up in my eyes as I ran up the ramp to hug them.

They were okay...

"You and Zuko looked like you were about to kill us!" Sokka joked. "We were!" I laughed. "I'm so happy you guys are okay!"

"We were so worried about you Katara," said Toph. I hugged them and let myself cry into there shoulders.

"We were worried about you too Zuko!" Sokka yelled down the ramp as Zuko had decided it would hurt too much to attempt to go up it.

"Where's Aang?" I asked Sokka.

Why wasn't he here with them?

I poked my head in the airship and scanned for him. The pit in my stomach had returned and was growing very quickly as my mind went to worst case scenarios.

"Relax, Katara. He's just fell asleep. The fight with Ozai was really draining on him" answered Toph. I was about to go in to the airship to look for him when Sokka slipped down the ramp and hurt his already injured leg. He screamed in pain.

"Katara!" Suki yelled. I sighed and made my way down the ramp to go heal Sokka.

Once we were all inside and I was impatiently healing Sokka, Zuko asked about his father. "So.. did Aang kill my father?" This caught my attention. Aang wouldn't be able to live with himself if he had killed Ozai.

"Nope." Sokka said simply. Zuko and I shared a confused look and quickly attacked him with more questions, demanding an explanation.

"It was the most EPIC fight I've EVER seen!" Sokka started telling Zuko and I the fight. Zuko and I sat in awe, listening to how amazing Aang preformed against Ozai. I blushed with pride and admiration.

"I can't believe he redirected my fathers lightening! That's some impressive stuff, especially on Sozins comet! Can you imagine how powerful that lightening must have been?"

"He even used the seismic sense I taught him when Ozai tried to attack him from behind! I'm so proud of twinkle toes. No one tell him I said that."

"Katara, you should have seen the huge beam of light when Aang took away Ozai's bending, it was incredible!" Suki added excitedly.

"Speaking of my father, where is he?"

"He's in a room in the back of the airship. Toph metalbended the doors shut so don't worry he can't get out." Sokka said.
"My legs fine now Katara, thanks for the healing"

As soon as Sokka said that, I jumped up and ran out of the palace and back to the Airship. I was finally going to see Aang.
