Chapter V - Rise, My Child
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Craze, wake up... It's rescue day... Come by to the well...
"Huh?! What?! Who's there?!", I said in shock, as I woke up and tried to open my eyes.
Nobody was there in my base. I crawled out of my shelter to check on my stuff. The fire died out on me while I was asleep; the leftover pig is still good to eat; all my gear is fine; the Beamer Lights on the trees are still shining brightly.
"Okay... Rescue day. I'd better get some work done before the guys come over.", I told myself, as I walked to the well.
On the way to the well, I still felt drowsy. I got used to my old routine; waking up, then going onto the tech console - or eating breakfast. I just felt like going to the well first before doing anything, for some reason...
"Good morning, Craze.", said Saint Michael, as I slowly stepped into the well area.
"Good morning Saint Michael. Good morning everyone!", I replied.
"Craze, good luck on your return to EASE. Don't forget about The Silver Bell, okay?", reminded Saint Michael.
"I won't forget about that, thank you.", I told Saint Michael, and everyone else.
In an instant, they were gone; as if they faded into thin air. I headed back to my campsite to pick up all my gear, so that I can be ready for the rescue. I turned off the Beamer Lights and placed them in their respective holsters. I grabbed a few spare banana leaves and vines, to use as material for a Leafpack (a backpack made of leaves). I punctured a few slits into the banana leaves using my Katana, and then slid the vines in and tied several knots to support the weight of the load. Eventually, I had a big, durable Leafpack where I can carry all my stuff. I kicked the Viking Dome, and luckily enough, it fell to the ground and looked like a pile of branches and leaves. I did that so it would look as if nobody had been there. I folded my parachute and placed it in its bag - I need to return it to headquarters. Afterwards, I left the area and tried to find a way out of the forest.
"I wonder if the guys are okay back there.", I told myself, as I walked amongst the trees.
The sun was shining bright. Light was passing through the trees, as if it were a mirage. I didn't mind the ambience that much, because I might get distracted, and I need to get back to headquarters soon. A couple of minutes of walking later, and I stumble upon a lake. I saw a few sugar canes growing near the lake. I unsheathed my Katana and cut them up, so I can get the sugar from it. Eventually, I was able to harvest a few grams of sugar. I grabbed a big leaf from the ground, and used it as a pouch to carry the sugar in. After that, I headed up the big hill, so that the guys will be able to see me when the time for rescue comes. It wasn't long until I reached the top of the hill. I decided to take a rest, and just wait for them there.
"I'll be waiting, guys... I'll be right here.", I quietly told myself, as I looked up at the sky.
Considering the fact that I was tired from walking, I decided to take a nap. I used the parachute to cover all my equipment, just in case wildlife tries to nibble anything from it. Upon finishing, I slept.

"Hey. Wake up.", a feminine voice called out.
"What?! Wh-who's there?!", I yelled, as I got up and rubbed my eyes.
"It is I, Craze. Don't be scared.", she said.
