The time was 10:30 AM. The clock is ticking, and we had to get ready for departure.

"Alright everyone, let's get moving! We don't wanna be late! Let's move it!", said Mitchel.

Everyone left and scattered into different directions; some went in their rooms, and others went to some other locations. I quickly raced through the halls to get up to my room and prepare. I removed my civilian grade clothes, and got into my EASE Military Combat Uniform - which is dark gray and black by standards. My uniform has three layers; the base layer, the protective layer, and the equipment layer. On the base layer, I'm wearing my underwear (of course...), a black long-sleeved shirt; where my sleeves are rolled up until just above my elbows, gray pants, and long socks (not knee-high). On the protective layer, I'm wearing a bulletproof, shockproof, explosive-resistant, EASE-grade military vest - complete with pockets; elbow pads and knee pads, leg supporters, combat boots - and of course, arm bands made of bulletproof material. And on the equipment layer, I have my massive Rucksack, grip-improving gloves, my watch, and a holster for a knife - you know, just in case.

"Craze, you there?", Jaydee called out, as he knocked on my door.

"Come in, man.", I said, as I fixed my boots.

"Sup man.", he said, as he sat down beside me. "You ready to take on this mission?", he asked.

"Yeah man, of course!", I told him. "I'm hyped up and freaked out at the same time, but hey - that's what EASE is for - we're here to save the world.", I said, as I pat him on the shoulder. "By the way, you look pretty armored.", I added.

Jaydee was wearing thick clothes as his base, and has a lot of leathery pieces of protective equipment, such as his massive shoulder pads, his bulletproof, non-zip'able vest, camo pants, and other cool looking gear.

"Thanks. This is actually pretty light armor, but it does it's job real good.", he said. "You too man - you look like you're ready to take on what's ahead.", he added.

"Alright; enough of these compliments regarding our outfits - we still have to meet everyone in the Battlements Sector.", I said. "You go on ahead; I still need to check on some things.", I told him, as I stood up and checked my belongings.

"Okay Craze. I'll see you there.", said Jaydee, as he left and closed the door.

I looked around my room to check if I have any other things that I might need to bring along with me. I checked my drawers and found a pair of binoculars, which I then placed in my Rucksack. I checked under my bed and found a tactical light that I could attach onto guns. I decided to put it in my bag as well. I was about to leave the room, when suddenly, a horrifyingly shocking picture flashed in front of my eyes, and vanished as quickly as it came. I have absolutely no idea what I had witnessed, but I could see a hooded face staring into my soul. I had no idea what just happened, and I became puzzled on who that would be. I couldn't see any facial features whatsoever - just the chin - how could I picture a face with such little information. And then, it hit me - it might just be that hooded shadowy female person I saw last night. I quickly turned around and rummaged through my stuff. I remembered the three metal boxes that I've encountered so far; I thought, maybe this would be a great time to figure out what these do, and why they were given to me - so there; I put the three boxes in my Rucksack. I glanced over to the table and saw the talisman that Adrian gave me. I decided to wear it, just in case we might need any specific tools or something. Then, I realized it was getting late - I had to report in for duty. I stood up and looked around my room one last time - hoping that this will not be the end of me - the end of my life. I left my room and locked it. Deep down in my heart, I was happy that I was risking my life for the world, along with some of the best dudes in the world. Best job ever, I should say. A few moments later, and I arrived at the Battlements Sector.
