3 years later.
I am running and turning my head now and then. But there is no exit.
No exit.
No exit.
No exit.
"Taylor, Taylor!"
Someone's shaking me.
"Taylor! Taylor!" The shaking is more frequent now.
"What?" I ask with an annoyed and groggy voice, opening my eyes slightly.
"I am going to school," Tori said with a mischievous smile.
I looked at her with confusion, sleep still lingering in my eyes.
"As I got two days less vacation than you this summer, I won't let you sleep peacefully in the morning." Tori said and ran away laughing from my room.
Aghh!! Siblings.
I take a glance at my alarm clock kept on the bedside table. Oops!! I'm late!
I get up, brush my teeth, and take a shower. I put on a decent outfit and jog towards the dining room.
"Taylor, where are you going? Don't your summer vacations end the day after tomorrow?" Mom asked confusingly while sipping on her coffee.
"Yeah, mom... but Eshkim wanted me to have my training in the morning, for today and tomorrow." I said, rolling my eyes.
Eshkim has some qualities of Mr. Frazzer, for example, not wanting my peace.
"But who will drop you there for your morning training?" Mom asked with concern. "Your dad's gone to office." She said in a low tone, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I want to have as little contact with him as possible... Eshkim will send a car to pick me up for my morning training as he did for my evening ones." I say sternly while pouring myself a glass of juice.
"Taylor, whatever he did, he did it with me, it's between me and your dad. He is fulfilling his duties as a father towards you and Tori, and you should, at least, be good with him." Mom says in a sincere tone.
"Exactly mom! That is the exact reason I keep my distance from him. I don't wanna lose my temper every time we come across." I say after finishing my juice in a few chugs.
I hurriedly get out of the house, "Bye, mom. Gotta rush!"
I press the button of the lift with an extra force, releasing my anger on it. Thinking about that man, who is my father, unfortunately, ruined my morning.
As I got out of the building I spotted a taxi. Yep, there's my ride.
I approached the driver, "Would you please drop me at the Pi Mall?"
The driver looks at me with a careless face, "Sure ma'am, hop in."
I get in the taxi and the driver immediately pulls up all the windows.
"Taylor, would be wrong if I say that even after being in the 'spy business' for almost three years you are still careless about the details?" Said the driver, who is actually not a driver but a senior of mine in the NIA, sarcastically.
I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and a bit of annoyance, "What did I do now, Estefan?"
"Is it normal that a person shops from the same mall every day?" Estefan asked looking at me through the rearview mirror.
"Okay okay, I'll think of the name of a new place for the next time." I say as I lean back on my seat while pouting.
"Yes, please, because changing the number plate and my appearance every day for your sake takes a lot of hard work. It will all go in vain if someone suspects us only for this tiny foolishness of yours." Estefan said while speeding up. Without saying anything further, I looked out through the window, it's a gloomy day.
After 20 minutes we reached our destination. Estefan parked the car in NIA's parking lot, which is at the back of the building. After removing the 'taxi' sign from the top of the car, and covering it we went inside the building through the back door.
The building of NIA's Soal branch looks like a decent homely mansion owned by a happy family. With a beautiful garden at the front and a fountain complementing it, no one will hardly even get a hint for what this mansion is being used for. The secret is only known to us.
The secret which lies 6 ft under the earth.
