"So if all you need is Bonnie, why am I here?" The young vamp questions.

"Because from what I've managed to dig up, you're a Mikaelson expert, doppelgänger. Always know your mark before you hit." I reply.

   "Meaning...?"

"Meaning I need you to explain to me all that you know about this guy before he gets here."

"Which is when, exactly?" Bonnie asks, seeming antsy to finally get home. I shrug.

"He said he'd be here around tomorrow night." Both of their eyes widened and eyebrows raised.

"Tomorrow?? How are we going to figure all this out by tomorrow??" Elena panics. I roll my eyes.

"Relax, Gilbert, I'm working on it. Right now I just need you to tell me about this guy. What's he like? What are his favorite tricks? Who is in his inner circle? Stuff like that." Elena shakes her head.

"And why should I tell you anything at all? I mean you drug me, kidnap me, shove me in your trunk, and-"

"And bring your best friend back to life, offer my assistance and protection on multiple occasions for no other reason than I somewhat like your little Scooby-Gang? Honestly, not even you can lie and say I've been aggressive or manipulative on any front with you guys. All I wanted was information, and even after I did everything I could to help you guys, you still kept it from me. Am I really the bad guy now for taking it?" That sure shut her up. Though I may have said too much, now she thinks I'm actually hurt they'd keep this from me. Granted, I kind of am, but I didn't need her knowing that. I sigh. "Okay. I admit, kidnapping you was a bit unnecessary, but I was frustrated."

"Is that supposed to be an apology? Ow-" Bonnie elbowed her, wearing a look that said 'cool it.' She sighs and rolls her eyes before turning to face me again. "So what would you like to know, then?"

"Everything. Starting with how you two know each other."

"I think it would be easier if I explained to you what he is, first."

"Okay, then, go ahead." I motion to the sitting area and we move along, her and Bonnie sitting adjacent to each other on the couch and I across from them on an old lazy-boy. I lean forward, resting my chin on my palms and my elbows on my knees. The girls exchange a look before Bonnie begins to speak.

"We just want to make sure this is really what you want, once you know this stuff you can't go back. You'll be considered a threat, he might even try to kill you. Are you sure you're ready for that?" I smirked.

"Key word, try. And I'm ready for anything, kiddos." They exchanged another slightly cautionary glance. "And I do hope you know better now than to keep things from me at this point, because I will find out." Elena rolls her eyes. I suppose I may be laying the arrogance on a bit thick, but I need them to understand there is no 'protecting' me. Elena sighs once more, and then begins to speak.

"So Klaus comes from a family of vampires. The original family of vampires, the Mikaelsons. The mother of this family was a witch, and after losing one of her children to the werewolves of what is now Mystic Falls, she decided to turn the rest of her children and her husband immortal. What she didn't expect was the bloodlust. Rebekah basically called it a side-effect, once. She's one of the Mikaelson siblings."

"So that's how the vampires of this world were created? Some witch?" I lean back in my chair. "Impressive." Bonnie scoffs.

"That's one word for it." The witch shakes her head in obvious disapproval. "Irresponsible is another."
