The pool party came to an end and you here you watching the sunset with Oikawa. He was walking you home and there was a comfortable silence between you two. Despite almost drowning, the pool party was pretty fun.

Not to say your experience with almost drowning wasn't traumatizing it really was, but if you put that aside you met so many new people and you thoroughly enjoy yourself. You watched the sun setting behind the hills in the distance. This beautiful view, it was so incredible, it soothed you.

You got to your house, you hadn't realized you were here, "Will you be okay with walking home by yourself? Do you want your jacket, you'll get cold?" You asked nervously, by the time he would get home it would be dark outside.

"Keep it, I'll be fine, but make sure to give it back to me on Monday."

"Of course." You refrained from asking him again if he was okay with you keeping his jacket all weekend long. You nodded and waved him goodbye before walking inside, your family was there at the dinner table.

You looked at them, the sight of seeing your two mothers, your brothers, and your grandfather all eating together comforted you. The way the last rays of sunshine shone through the window, and the cheerful expressions and discussions sat the dinner table was soothing. You took your own seat at the dinner table, the food wasn't great it was just okay.

This dinner wasn't about the food though, not for you at least, this dinner you were just so grateful to be alive, healthy, and with your family. Once you were done you of course, went upstairs to write a song about it.

The weekend was tough and uneventful. It felt like all your nightmares were about the time you almost drowned. You would wake up in a cold sweat, all you could think of to do was hug Oikawas hoodie in comfort. He saved your life, so it wasn't weird right?

You decided you wanted to get over your new found fear of water. On Sunday you went to the local pool. The pools deepest was only 5ft deep, so you figured you would be okay. You never went into the pool but progress was progress right? At least you were trying. You decided to come back the next weekend to try and actually swim. You hadn't touched the pools but you watched a bunch of videos on swimming while sitting on a lawn chair on the pool deck.

Soon Monday came, you left for school extra early, mostly because you could sleep. You only realized there was no practice on Mondays when you got to the gym, but you heard someone inside anyway. You went to the windows, and crouched down to see who was inside. It was Oikawa, why was he here?

You went to the door and jiggled it till it opened. Oikawa turned to you a little frightened but he got over it pretty quickly, you guessed he wasn't expecting anyone. "Why are you here? Isn't there no practice today?"

He tightened his grip on the volleyball, "Ya there's no practice today, I just felt like practicing extra..." His voice trailed off, this concerned you.

"You can't practice as much as you do, you need to give it a rest. You need to give your body a chance to heal." You took a waterbottle out of your bag, "Have you even eaten breakfast today?"

He took your waterbottle reluctantly, "Tch, ya." He took a sip, he looked exhausted.

You glared at him, "Really?"

"No..." You sighed, this boy was hopeless, you took your waterbottle back and looked in your bag for your lunch. He was rambling about how he couldn't take your lunch but you grabbed it and gave it to him anyways.

"Here, take some of this."

"No, I can't do that to you."

"You literally saved my life, it's the least I can do. You really need to take better care of yourself." Oikawa didn't say anything but you sat on the ground with each other sharing your lunch. It looked like none of you had eaten breakfast this morning. You talked to each others about your weekend, it looked like both of you had trouble sleeping. While he took a sip from your waterbottle you stared at him. Not in a creepy way, you were just admirng his features.

At first you didn't think he was that attractive, but you guessed he had grown on you. You sighed hopelessly, you could get lost in his eyes. They were so expressive and they were the color of choclate. But as beautiful as his eyes were, you couldn't help but notice he was almost in pain. As you continued to get lost in his features, you didn't notice him calling your name.

"Y/n!"

"Y/n-chan! Why are you ignoring me?"

"Huh?" You just noticed he was saying something, "Oh, sorry what were you saying?"

"Got a staring problem don't ya?" he teased. Shoot, he noticed you. You sighed to yourself, it's not like you were trying to hide it, you were just shamelessly staring at him. You wanted the earth to swallow you then there, to disappear. You went red and noted to slap yourself later, he continued talking, "Oh wait, maybe you DON'T have a staring problem, what if you just think I'm that attractive. Don't worry, I won't judge you. I will have to charge you from now on though."

You were astounded, speechless. You opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out. Oikawa's fingers reached for your chin, closing your mouth for you, "If you open your mouth to long you might catch flies."

Your face was scarlet, you took a deep breath and made some lame excuse about going to class early. once you were back in class you were sure to put everything you were holding away. You felt bad about letting him clean the gym by himself all alone, you shook it off. You buried your head in your hands once you noticed that you hadn't even given his jacket back. You cursed yourself, that would mean you had to see him again.
