At break you were excited to tell Iwaizumi what happened. You would've told Oikawa but that would mean you had to explain that day it rained. Your entered your second class, the entire time you were waiting to be called up to the office for hitting those girls, but you weren't. Class ended and you practically bounded to the spot where Iwaizumi, Oikawa, you, and sometimes the team hung out for break.
Luckily, Oikawa wasn't here yet. "Iwaizumi, Iwaizumi!" You came up to him happily,
"Hm?"
You explained to him what happened in the hallway early, he looked surprised. "I usually, don't condone violence, but..." he paused then took a deep breath then gave his best smile, "Good job!" He gave you an high five and you both looked like happy little kids.
"What's the big deal?" Oikawa asked coming up to you two before shoving his phone in his pocket.
"Oh, uhm." Iwaizumi quickly regained his composure.
"So professional, Iwa-chan." Oikawa laughed lightly.
"We were just excited because..." You wracked your brain, "I've been practicing and I've become a better swimmer!"
Oikawa looked relieved and he hugged you, "That's great, y/n!"
"Yup!" You hugged him back and studied his face, did he always have to look this pretty? I mean he was prettier than you. You stole one more glance before you pulled away and stood next Iwaizumi. What you said wasn't a complete lie, you had been getting a better swimmer. You just weren't at the level Oikawa thought you were at.
"You've been practicing?"
"Ya, it was tough but I did it."He nodded and you moved on with your conversation, Iwaizumi glared at you signalling that you needed to talk later. You pursed your lips in understand so he would stop glaring at you. Oikawa was talking about an upcoming test he had and we should study for it after school together. "Is that cool with you?" Oikawa asked.
"Uh, ya. In the library right?"
"Yup, well I have to get going. See you two later." Oikawa waved goodbye and you let out a breath."We need to tell him." Iwaizumi stated.
"I want to tell him, but..."
"but what?"
"I don't want to worry him."
Iwaizumi sighed impatiently, "He'll understand, I'm not going to keep you're secret anymore. Either you tell him or I do."
"No, it has to come from me..." You sighed, "Are you sure he'll understand?"
"Yes."
"How do I even start that conversation? Hey Oikawa! I beat up your friend in the hallway, hope that's okay with you!"
"You're being dramatic, it wasn't that bad. If you want to I'll be there with you, for emotional support per se."
