Chapter 19

While walking back I get a phone call from Adam.

"Hello?" I ask with no hesitation.

"Hey, Auti." He says nervous.

"Yeah, how's she doing?" I ask quickly.

"About that. The CAT scan won't come back till Monday." He says.

"What?" I say loudly.

"Is there anyway Chandlers mom or dad could watch your for a few days?" He asks.

"Probably. I'll ask." I say turning to Chandler.

"What is it?" He asks.

"Would I be able to stay with you till Monday?" I ask hopefully then continue. "If not it's no problem." I put the phone to my chest.

"I'm pretty sure you could. Just let me make a phone call to my mom." He says.

"He's going to ask. I'll let you know." I say.

"Aright Auti. I'll keep you in touch. If you're aloud please text me." He says.

"I will." I say before hanging up.

"My parents said that's fine." He says looking at me.

"Good, I need to get my bag packed." I say starting to text Adam.

"Let's go then." He says as he turns around studying my face.

"What?" I ask.

"Get on my back. I'll carry you." He says smiling.

"Chan, you don't have to do that." I say but he stops me.

"Please." He says reassuring.

I walk closer to him and climb onto his back.

When we get back to my aunts house I run upstairs and put random clothes into a suitcase. Chandler waits at my door.

"I like how you pack." He says starting to laugh.

"Very funny." I say.

"I'm just kidding." He says.

"Whatever." I say acting angry.

"Do I hear an attitude coming on?" He asks looking at me.

"No." I quickly respond.

"I think I am." He says grabbing me by my waist.

"Chandler, put me down!" I say laughing as he pulls me over his shoulder.

"Not until you loose the attitude." He says.

"I'm done." I say laughing.

"Good." He says as he seats me down on my bed.

"You're a goofball." I say as I curl up in my covers.

"Not as goofy as you." He says taking the covers away.

"No. I worked hard to become a burrito." I say extending the O's.

"Like I said, goofy." He says smiling at me.
